Plan A

Trevor and I sat there, not talking for a good half hour. I was letting the events of today sink in.

Ok, so I'm a 'time traveler' that doesn't know it and can see a memory of a past me. Weird.

"Got any ideas on how to get out of here?" Trevor asked breaking the silence.

"Not necessarily ideas, I just know little facts about this place that might help,"I explained. He gave me a curious look and I kept going. "Well, you know the lock on the door? It's digital, which means I know exactly how to disable it. Oh, and there's a forest behind the building that we can run to. And..... We have this address," I told him, getting out the note I managed to keep.

"Do you know what it means?" he asked taking the piece of paper from me. "No, but I've heard it somewhere," I said. He looked at it thoughtfully as if he knew where it was from too.

"I've got it! That's the address is of an abandoned house! I can't believe I didn't think about it before! We got lost on our way to our vacation hotel and then we got a flat tire! Noah and I checked out the place while my parents fixed the car. We can stay there! It's really not that far away," I explained. "Sounds like a plan," Trevor said.

"Can we sleep first? And we probably need to go to our houses to get clothes and stuff. We just can't be seen.... by anyone. Not even our parents. They might hurt them if they knew anything," I said, my voice shaky again.

I don't know why, but I felt the sudden urge to cry. I wasn't going to let that happen though, not in front of Trevor.

We agreed to sleep, even though we had no idea what time it was. The beds were hard and the sheets were thin. So much for that idea.

We slept for a good two hours or at least tried to, and it was time to execute the plan. Call it tacky, but it was the help me plan. You know,  the one where pretend you're hurt? Ya, anyway, I had to pretend I fell off the top bunk bed.

"Are you ready?" Trevor asked sympathetically. "Am I ready to fall off a bed and escape from people who are convinced I'm a time traveler? If you call scared to death ready, then yes," I said climbing on the bed.

"Remember, if we don't get their attention, we pick that lock," he reminded me. "Ya, I know," I told him.

I rolled off the bed with a loud thump, making sure to get the attention of the guards. Or anyone really. We didn't actually know if they had people watching the door. That's why we decided that this would be the safest plan.

"Help! Help, she's unconscious!" He yelled. That was all it took for the men, heavily armed I might add, to come barging in and picking me up off the ground.

Well, that worked.

Trevor snuck out the open door, leaving us behind him.  It wasn't long before one guard noticed him. That was the signal.

I waited until I was fully in one man's arms before elbowing him in the face. He dropped me and I managed to grab one of his guns from his belt. I pointed it at him as he put his hands up.

I didn't look away from him as I slowly walked backward and out the door. I then shut the heavy door, locking him in there.

Ha! How does it feel being locked up?

I turned around to see a large man towering over me. Crap!

"Uh...what's plan b?" I heard Trevor's velvety voice say. "There was a plan b?!" I exclaimed. The man now had me pinned up against the wall. I couldn't see Trevor, but I could hear him breathing hard.

The next thing I knew, there was a hand swinging at the man that stood in front of me. Trevor single-handedly knocked out a grown man.

"What the heck was that? Do you have super strength or something? " I exclaimed. "Only one way to find out," he said with a smile on his face. I opened my mouth to say something but he beat me to it by punching the wall.

Wow! He just did that.

"Y-you just put a hole in the wall!" I yelled in disbelief. "Ya, I know. Cool right?" He said with a huge smile on his face. "Where's my superpower?" I said.

He swooped up my hand into his and we started running as fast we could. I was pretty proud of myself when I realized I was faster than him.

My adrenalin was so high as we darted through those halls. Of course, there were people chasing us, and even some cutting us off, but Trevor took care of them with just one punch each.

It wasn't that hard finding our way out of the building. The hallway we followed lead us straight to a back door. We struggled to open it at first, but it soon opened.

"We just need to get deep into the forest. Maybe climb a tree too, to be safe," I said as we Hurst through the door.

We kept sprinting into the forest that was now just a few yards away from us. When we got far enough in, we made our way up a tall tree. I was the first to start.

"What, are you afraid of heights?" I asked when I noticed Trevor wasn't following me. "I'm more afraid of the fall," he said. His cheeks were bright red. Aww, he's so cute when he's embarrassed!

"Just hurry up, I can hear them coming," I whispered as the agents got closer. I could tell he was really scared, but he listened anyway.

We sat in that tree for what felt like ages. We watched the confused people scatter themselves throughout the area. It was quite comical watching them run around with their heads cut off.

When the cost was clear, we agreed to climb down. Trevor was not so happy about this part.

"Where to next?" The boy said after we landed on the ground. "The only place we can go, home, then to 3256 Malfunction Rd, California."
