A familiar face: The Jonbenet Ramsey Murder

On the early morning of December 26, 1996, Jonbenets mother, Patsy Ramsey, made a 911 call, claiming Jonbenet was missing, and that she had just found a ransom letter, regarding Jonbenet, ordering the Ramsey's to give $118,000 for their child's safe return. Only moments after she made that call, the Ramseys began calling a slew of close friends telling them the situation and inviting them over. Soon enough, the police were at the Ramsey home, along with tons of friends of the Ramsey's. Despite the fact that the home was technically now a crime scene, the police never sealed it off as that and continued to let all of the Ramseys company just roam all around the home. Although, they did seal off Jonbenet's bedroom. 8 hours later, Detective Linda Arndt, who was at the home as well, asked Jonbenets father, John Ramsey, and his friend, Fleet White, to search the home, see if theres anything unusual or out of place, but DO NOT touch or move anything you find. John and Fleet started their search at the basement, which is when John found Jonbenet's strangled body on the floor, wrapped in a white blanket with her hands tied, and mouth duct taped. Depite being told NOT to touch anything, he picked up her body and takes it upstairs to the living room, Linda Arndt pronounced Jonbenet dead at the scene.

The autopsy of Jonbenet Ramsey released newer evidence. Her ultimate cause of death was Anyfixiation by Strangulation; and ligature cord was found wrapped around her neck, and Craniocerebral trauma, caused by a bash in the head resulting in a cracked skull. There were also genital injuries. Though it was NO sign of rape, considering the hymen was still intact, it is though that she was probably sexually molested/assualted in some way. There was a spot of blood in her underwear. There was bruising in the genital area, her vaginal opening was twice the size of that of a six year old girl, which examiners/investors said couldnt have been that way just by one night of abuse, and that it might have been happening long before her death, some other time before her murder.
