Crossing Paths

Part 9

You groan as you wake up. Looking at your nightstand the clock reads 4am, getting up you go to the bathroom trying not to wake Barry.

The pregnancy was really taking a toll on you. You became so tired and extremely hungry every 5 seconds and you weren't even that far along yet you were only 5 months and your cravings got a lot crazier.

You were starting to worry but Barry lets you know everything is fine. You had recently went to the doctors and they were perplexed at the fact you were only 5 months but you looked like you were 8 months.

You turned the light off in the bathroom before going to the kitchen for the millionth time tonight.  Sighing out of frustration when you see the empty fridge living with a speedster was all fun and games until the food in your fridge is gone.

"You've got to be kidding me" You mumble as you close the fridge. Turning around you jump slightly when you come face face with Barry.

"Holy shit Barry you scared the hell out of me" You frown and Barry sleepily chuckles.

"Sorry babe I felt you get up again and well I decided to come check on you" He looks down at your belly before getting on his knees, rubbing your swollen stomach gently.

"Hey little fella this is your daddy, I can't wait to meet you your mommy and I love you so much" Barry coos and the sight makes your eyes water; you always wanted to be a mother and now Barry has granted you that wish.

"Babe" Your voice calls out and Barry looks up.

"Yes"

"I love you" Barry stands up and wraps his arms around you.

"I love you too y/n"

You wake up again but this time its 3 in the afternoon. You go to grab Barry's hand but you come in contact with the mattress.

Getting up and walking into the living room you see Barry playing a game as he screamed at Cisco through his headphones.

"HA TAKE THAT CISCO-oh hey babe" He pauses the game to kiss you on the cheek.

"Tell y/n I said hi" you hear Cisco through Barry's ear piece.

"Hello Cisco" You said loud enough so he could hear you.

"Hey man I'll finish this game later alright"

"No problem"

Barry turns the game off as you sit next to him on the couch, laying your head in his lap

"What's wrong babe" He looks down in your eyes as he plays with your hair.

"Can we go out for dinner tonight" Your voice was quiet as you rubbed the sleep out your eyes.

"Of course we can y/n" Barry kisses you and you pull away with a smile.

It was 7pm when you and Barry walked  in the cortex.

"Oooo What's the occasion" Cisco asks when he sees you and Barry dressed up.

"We are going on a date tonight" You smile as Barry grabs your hand.

"Awww you guys make me sick" Cisco makes a disgusted face before sticking his lollipop back in his mouth.

"We thought it was a good idea to inform you guys first you know just in case something happens" You say as you squeeze your hand into a fist from the sharp pain in your stomach, hoping Barry doesn't notice.

"You ready?" Barry turns to you and you quickly put a smile on your face as you put a hand on your stomach.

"Yeah, of course"

You and Barry walked hand and hand in the newest restaurant named The bistro (horrible naming I tried I'm so sorry😫) immediately being seated by a waiter.

"So babe when do you think it's the perfect time to go baby shopping"

"Um I was thinking probably next week you know so we can decorate haydens room together" You bit the inside of your cheek as the pain comes back.

"Are you okay" Barry puts his menu down when he sees you squeeze your eyes shut.

"I'm fine barr" Your breathing became labored as you tightened your grip on the table.

"Babe, you're not fine is it the baby" Barry finds his way next to you and a tear slides down your face.

"It hurts" you cry and grab Barry's hand just as you began vibrating. Barry widens his eyes instantly dialing Cisco's cell.

"Barry, you literally just left; what did you leave this time"

"Something's wrong y/n's vibrating" He wipes the hair out your face as you began crying.

"What that's not possible"

"What should I do" Slightly raising his voice when you start screaming.

"Sir is everything alright" The waiter rushes to your side and pushes the table away from you.

"CISCO" Barry yells

"I'm sorry man um you need to bring her to the lab"

"Sir is she in labor"

Everyone talking at once was really making the pain worse. You knew you needed to go back to the lab but the pain was too much to talk.

The waiter removes your jacket and grabs a nearby menu, fanning your face.

"Don't touch her" Barry growls at the waiter who looks at him with a gulp.

"Cisco.get.down.here.NOW"
