Ace's POV

"The wait is over." I said to Melissa as I felt her slightly shiver in fear. "What the hell do you mean by that?" She said her voice cracking slightly. I could feel her fear from here. Like seriously, humans literally radiate their emotions. "It means your done waiting and that you should brace yourself." I said. "Whats commi-" She said but was cut off by the fog suddenly flying up above and and down on us as it dissipated back into the trees to reveal Altair.

I felt a sudden anger well up inside me in the sight of this man. Sure we knew each other but we were not exactly in the best interest of each other. Back in the day I accidentally ran over his rare plants of some sort and he went out telling my family secrets to the entire spirit realm. He was then banished but I heard he's never been seen again until today. I hate this man because my family took care of him, gave him a home and food to eat. But what did he do? He betrayed us. My family was affected by this so much that we had to reign the spirit realm in shame.

And now this man is showing his face to me. Best he thank me that I haven't chopped off his head yet. I was curious as to his reasoning for coming and how he found me.

"Altair." I said, head held high.

"Prince Ace." Altair said bowing at me. I hissed at his audacity to call me by my first name.

"What do you want?" I said, I felt my energy shift to my hand as I clenched my fists. The wind from my hand blew against my coat.

"I'm not here to fight." He said as he noticed my glowing fists. I scoffed at his statement. Has he changed that much after he was banished from the spirit realm. I don't buy it.

"Oh really now?" I said feeling my hand get hotter and brighter. I could smell my coat slightly burn from the intense heat. I looked over at Melissa and forced a smile her way even though I was really mad.

"Yes." He said with an intense look in his eyes. I was not completely convinced as I still kept my guard up.

"What's your reasoning for coming to me? Also, how did you find me? This place is a product of my imagination and no one can find this place for it does not exist. I am the only one who can bring things and people in and out of this place. How?" I said slightly astonished.

"Well you see, for the past seven years, I've been training." He said making the sky of my product of imagination grumble. "You see, I can control your own creation. That's how much I have improved."

"Why?" I said. Altair maybe my enemy now but we used to be great friends. I knew that he never did anything just for the sake of doing them. He did everything for a reason.

"I found this Harbinger of Death. Rather, he found me. He was a well trained Harbinger. He could use his energy like you do. Maybe even she could do that with training." He said pointing to Melissa's tiny scared figure. It did exactly show on her face, I could just feel it. "This Harbinger can also see deaths well into the far future. twenty years? Thirty years into the future? It was a piece of cake to him. But then he saw the death of the royal family of the spirit realm. I asked him if it was preventable. He said it wasn't and that it was as if the group 'yellow' has engraved it into the future. So then I decided to train." He said.

"And where is this Harbinger of yours?" I asked, intrigued.

"He was terminally ill, and died." He said.

"So what now? You just came here to say hi, and tell me that there's this protege Harbinger and about the death of the family and to show off your skills. You can leave now." I said, much hostility heard in my voice.

"I can help you!" He said.

"I said, LEAVE!" I said as shifted a part of my energy on my legs as I charged at him. As I was airborne I shifted my energy to my arms to prepare for my attack. He was then right in front of me when I punched his face but hit air. I looked around confused. I swear I had him. He was just in front of me. Bloody hell this is frustrating.

"Over here." Altair said from behind me. I turned around to punch him but all I hit was air again.

"WHAT THE HELL!" I said enraged. Anger fueled me with power as I felt my body heat up even more. I looked around and found him on my far left. I focused a part of my energy on my feet as I charged at him with more speed. I then focused the energy on my arms as I was about to hit him but hit the air again.

"Stop with your futile attempts. If it makes you feel better, I'll take a hit." he said smugly. Just as he was speaking I was already charging at him. I aimed for his face giving it my all, focusing all my energy on my hand to the point that only my hand glowed  with power and that there was not enough energy left to surround my body but he still somehow blocked the punch with his hand not even flinching from the immense pressure and heat. I jumped backwards trying to catch my breath.

I clutched my chest as I stared at the pavement, my head spinning. Using too much power is taking a toll on my body. I need to learn how to spend my energy wisely so that I don't feel like shit after fighting.

"I know about the list." Altair suddenly said. I perked up in attention. "I also know that you don't have enough power to do whatever you plan on doing." He said. This guys was really getting on my nerves.

"Just because you've become this strong doesn't mean you could too." I spat at him.

"Trust me I can." He said in a matter of fact tone. I didn't want to admit to him that I indeed cannot finish what I started. "Come on. The royal family and you have done so much for me. Don't you think I want justice for them as much as you do?" He said pleadingly.

"Fine. But this doesn't mean I trust you yet." I said finally giving in. I looked him in the eye and gave him a stern look and he nodded at me reassuringly.

"I will do everything I can. I surrender my loyalty to you, Prince Ace." He said getting down on one knee and bowing down at me. I felt a twinge in my heart as I remembered all the good times I had with Altair. But I didn't let it get to me.

"Um guys... There seems to be visitors." Melissa shouted over to us to get our attention. I looked over to her as she pointed into the woods.

"It's time." I said to Altair and Melissa.
