After All These Years (Jared Padalecki x Reader)

Chapter Ten: Acting

(Y/N)'S POV

It's been 4 months since I woke up and since the whole Jared incident. Since then I've started acting and with the help of Jensen, even though he said I did it all on my own, I got a part on Supernatural. I was pretty nervous considering I haven't had anything but small rolls and this one was a recurring one and because I would have to see and be around Jared. Sure I was over him, at least I thought I was, but it's always awkward seeing an ex especially working with one. Today was going to be my first day on set. I woke up and got ready. I didn't try really hard with my look because hair, makeup, and wardrobe would take care of that. I just put on a sweatshirt and a pair of leggings. I was very excited about today but I was also very nervous. These past few months have not been easy. I've gotten really bad depression and anxiety and I self-harmed for a while. I felt like, and still do, I was alone. I know I have Lily and Jensen but that's it and even then they can't be there for me all the time. Work was going to be especially hard wit hiding my scars. Jensen told the directors about it so we can work around it but I'm still worried about someone finding out. After I got ready I headed out to my car. Once I got to the set I met Jensen. "Are you excited?" He asked excitedly. "Yes! This is my first big job. I'm super nervous though." I said as we were walking to my trailer. "There's nothing to be nervous about. Everyone here is nice." Jensen said reassuringly. "I know but it's going to be really awkward working with Jared and seeing him again. How is he doing anyway?" I said as we walked into my trailer. "He's doing fine. Him and that Lexi girl broke up about 2 months ago." Jensen said. We both sat down on the couch. "Oh. Do you know why?" I asked. "Yeah, she cheated on him and stuff." He said shrugging. "That sucks. I feel bad for him. Shouldn't we be getting to hair and makeup by the way?" We got up and walked to hair and makeup. After they did my hair and makeup I almost couldn't recognize myself. I usually don't wear makeup or do a lot with my hair so this was different. After I got my costume on I walked to set to get ready for my scene. I was standing there rehearsing my lines in my head when someone said my name. "(Y/N)" I looked up and it was Jared. "Are you hanging around on set with Jensen today?" He asked. "No, I got a part. I'm playing (Y/C/N)." He raised his eyebrow. "Really that's great. Well, welcome to the SPN family. Nice seeing you again by the way." He said smiling. "Thanks. Nice seeing you again too." I gave him a smile. "I have to go to get ready so I'll talk to you later." Jared said before walking away. Shit. This isn't going to be as easy as I thought it would be. I guess I wasn't over him because seeing him just now brought all those old feelings back. I took my script out of my back pocket and started looking through it again. "How could I not see this?" I said out loud. "Not see what?" Jensen said walking over. I showed him the script. "I didn't notice I would be Sam's AKA Jared's love interest. We have to kiss today." I said slightly panicing. "You're over him though right?" I shrugged my shoulders. "He came and said hi to me a few minutes ago and seeing him brought all those old feelings back. I don't know what to do." I said. "Just calm down okay? Don't overthink it and have a panic attack or something. Just focus on doing a good job acting. Can you do that for me?" Jensen put his hands on my shoulder. I nodded. "Good. I have to go grab something from my trailer I'll be right back to start the scene." Jensen left to go to his trailer.

JARED'S POV

When I was about to go back to set I saw Jensen. I ran over to him and stopped him. "Hey, can I talk to you?" I said. "Yeah just come into my trailer while I grab something." We walked into Jensen's trailer. "Why didn't you tell me (Y/N) was the new actress?" He turned and raised his eyebrow. "I didn't think it would matter." I sighed. "Well, it does. I would've liked a warning that my ex-girlfriend was going to be working with me and be my love interest." I said slightly angry. "Don't worry. (Y/N) is freaking out about it too. Just suck it up. Maybe you guys can put the past behind you guys and be friends." Jensen said and turning to leave the trailer. "Would she even want that. I was a huge douche last time we talked and I really regret it. Even if we weren't dating I should've been there for her at least as a friend." I said. "Just talk to her. You know she will forgive you. You may be like a brother to me but I'm just saying if hurt her again I will beat your ass." Jensen says. "I understand. I'll talk to her later." We were almost to set. 

-Timeskip to after filming-

(Y/N)'S POV

It was after filming and I was feeling pretty good. I think I acted well, we got the scene done and it wasn't as awkward between Jared and I as I thought it would be. Maybe it won't be that hard, maybe we can be friends again. Even though it would kill me because I still like him I would deal with being just friends because I just want the goofy moose-puppy hybrid back in my life. I was walking to my trailer to grab my things before leaving when I heard someone running up behind me. I turned around and saw Jared. "Hey (Y/N) can we talk?" He asked.
