Chapter Nine: Talking Again

JARED'S POV

After (Y/N) pulled Lily into the hallway Jensen and I went inside and sat on the couch. "So you really were right. She looks terrible." I said to Jensen. "Yeah. I know." A few minutes later (Y/N) and Lily came back into the living room. (Y/N) looked like she had been crying, her eyes were puffy and red. She sat down on a chair across the room without saying a word. "So let's start what we came here for." Lily said sternly. "You both need to talk to each other." (Y/N) shook her head but didn't say anything. "(Y/N) stop lying." Jensen said. "So you woke up?" I said awkwardly trying to start the conversation. She just nodded. "Why didn't you tell me or have someone tell me?" I said looking at her. "Because I didn't want to ruin you being happy. Things changed while I was in a coma and I have to accept it." She said. Her voice was horse showing she had been crying. "I would at least of liked to known you were awake." She just shrugged. "So you're with Lexi now?" She asked quietly. How did she know about Lexi? Probably Lily and Jensen. "Yeah..." She nodded. "I'm really happy for you." I could tell she was lying. She then just got up and walked away. I went to stand up but Jensen stopped me. "I'm going to go talk to her." Jensen said before walking away. "So Jensen and (Y/N) are friends?" I asked Lily. "Yeah, he for some reason kinda acts like a big brother to her." I nodded. "So what are you going to do about her waking up?" She asked. "I really don't know. I just kinda got over her and I'm happy with Lexi." I said looking at the ground. "I think you know your answer then. It sounds like you want to keep the life you had before she woke up. You need to tell her that so she can move on." Lily said only before Jensen and (Y/N) came walking into the living room. 

(Y/N)'S POV 

I couldn't handle it. I got up and walked to the bathroom. Once I closed the door I slid down the door and started crying. A minute later there was a knock at the door. "(Y/N) will you please open up the door. It's Jensen." I got up, wiped my eyes and opened the door. Jensen came in. "Hey I know it's hard but you need to talk to him. You need to find out what he wants if he wants to be with you again or keep the life he had before you woke up." I nodded and Jensen and I walked back into the living room. "I need to know what you want. Do you want to keep the life you had before I woke up?" I said choking on my words. "I thought about it and I want to keep the life I had before you woke up." He said. In that moment I felt my heart break into a million pieces but I know he's happy and that's all I want for him. "Okay, I understand. All I want is for you to be happy and if you are happy then I guess I'm fine." I said knowing I was lying. Jared gave me a small smile and stood up. He walked over and hugged me, then he left. I just stood there frozen. "Are you okay?" Lily asked me. I shook my head. "I'm not now but I might eventually." I said. Jensen had left the room with Jared. Lily hugged me. "Remember, if you need anything please call me." She said. "I know. Thank you for everything you have done for me." She then left. I walked over and sat on the couch and turned on the TV not caring what it was just as long as it distracted me. 

JARED'S POV

Jensen followed me when I left (Y/N)'s apartment. "So you're staying with Lexi?" Jensen asked. "Yeah, I'm happy with her. Like (Y/N) said, as long as I'm happy she's fine." I said about to continue walking when Jensen grabbed my shoulder. "She says she wants you to be happy and she truly does but you know it's going to break her. I'm going to let you live your life and be there for you since you're my brother but I think you're making a mistake." Jensen said before walking back to walk with Lily. I sighed and kept walking.
