The five hybrid kids sat in the dojo, their faces showing confusion and expectation. Leo had demanded that they assemble here, yet he'd failed to give a reason. Nonetheless, they knew better than to disobey Leo. Or any of their parents for that matter.

Finally, Leo walked into the room, his brothers, sisters, and wife right behind him. The children turned to look at him with big eyes. "Now, children, I'm sure you're all very eager to know why you're here. Fortunately for you, that question is about to be answered." Leo began. "Can you please stop talking like Splinter?!?!" Raph demanded. Leo rolled his eyes, but fulfilled his brother's request. "Okay, I know you've heard stories about how we saved New York on multiple occasions. But... We're adults now and we're no longer teens. Eventually, someone will have to take over our jobs as the vigilantes of the night, because we can't keep it up forever. That's where you come in."

The kids raised their eyebrows and ridges. "We think it's time you begin to learn the art of ninjitzu." Wide grins grew on their faces and they begin to talk. "But," He continued, silencing the kids in the process. "All vigilantes need to secure their secret identities." Raph, Mikey, and Donnie stepped from behind Leo holding mask for their children. Even Leo pulled one out. "Carter. You are protective of your cousins, bold, brave and a natural born leader. The color of yout mask is green. He said, handing his son his mask.

Raph was next. He walked over to Miyuko and held out a red mask. "Red is for anger strength, passion, defence and nobility. You have all these qualities, making the red mask perfect for you." Yuko took it tentatively and smiled. Donatello smiled at Dani and held out a lavender mask. Lavender represents creativity, courage, knowledge, and vast intellectual power. You have all those traits." He told Danielle. She grinned, taking the mask eagerly.

Mikey held up two mask: one yellow, one turquoise. Aaron, you, dude, are mellow, hype, positive, and undeniably a fun jokester. Yellow is just the color for you!" Aaron took the mask and giggled at the feeling it had between his fingers. "Now Sari, you are sweet, shy, kind, gentle and very magical. It only seems fit that you wear the turquoise mask." She smiled, brushing back some of her hair before taking the mask.

One by one, each child put on an tied their mask. Leo smirked at their serious faces.

"Now, it's time to begin your training."
