Chapter 1
The dream
I was in the dark.
The only light I could see was coming through the thick trees hovering over me. I was running but I dont know why or where I just kept running trying my best not to trip on roots and sticks. I tried to stop but it was like something was pulling me farther and farther into the woods like a magnet.I watched my faint warm breath come out of my mouth and into the frigid night air. It started snowing, the soft snowflakes lightly hitting my pale skin sending chills slithering down my back. I finally forced myself to stop, and tried to catch the small snow flakes on my tongue. These snow flakes seemed to be larger.. usually they just looked like little white dots falling from the sky. But I could see every little detail and difference in each one. It was like my eyes were magnifying glasses looking up at the sky.
I looked down and I could see small foot prints slowly fading away as the snow fell, and I started to run faster, feeling the cold wind go across my face and through my dirty blonde hair. Tracking the foot prints before they faded away seemed almkst impossible.
The wind and snow were heavey on me now as I started to walk up the small hills through the woods. The foot prints still fading as I ran faster and faster until the wind knocked me over, but I didn't fall into the snow. I just kept falling and falling but I wasn't sure if I was falling down. "Huh!" I gasped.
I was in my bedroom.
It was a dream.
I rubbed my head and stared around at my small stuffy room feeling not the cold snowflakes but my warm blankets rapped tightly around me.
