Chapter 2
The Snow
"Jersey! Breakfast is ready!"
My mom yelled from the kitchen.
"Mmmm... coming!"
I walked into the kitchen where my mom was making breakfast.
"Hello Jersey, did you sleep well? Hello?" My mom asked.
"Hmm? Oh hi mom," I said sitting down at the table, dazed and still thinking about my dream.
"mom? What kind of animals live around here?"
"Well.... what do you mean there are alot of different kids of animals here?" She told me, giving me a confused smile.
"Never mind."
"Why?"
"Just wondering. I think im going to go take a walk," I said.
"Just make sure you don't get lost!"
"ok, bye mom."
I figured it was going to be another nice sunny November day, and I was going to take the same old dirt path that leads into the woods.
I was still in my blue pajamas but I would still be warm enough and its not like any one else walks in the woods other that me so it didn't matter. I walked out side starring at our white wooden door when I was closing it, but.. it felt different...
I could feel a tingeling feeling on my fingers going all the way down to my toes. I could see my breath come out of my mouth like smoke flying through the air. I turned around, and I saw the white bed of snow laying on the once brown grass. The white sparkling snow blanketed the ground like a huge soft pillow. The forcast hadn't said anything about snow! Yesterday was one of the hotest days of the year!
