Chapter 9

The Locket

I was in the forest on my new path, not running just walking. I felt like I was looking for something.... But I dont know what... I walked around the corner of a tree and looked strait ahead and I saw my old path.. I started walking towards it. I was walking towards the middle of these two trees and once I got right up to it...... It wouldn't let me through! I started to push harder letting all my weight into the force field that was not letting me in. I didnt really care about getting to my old path because.. well its just a path in the woods, but what I really cared about was getting through this stupid force field and see whats its trying to keep me from! I know this is a dream, i've gotten used to haveing weird dreams like this and i'm ready to find out why I have been haveing them and what they are trying to tell me! I could feel my hands getting weaker as I struggled to push through. I started to give up realizeing that I wasn't going to get through, when on my left I started to hear rustling in the bushes.

Then I heard it on my right... then right behind me where I came from! I just kept pushing on the force field pushing as hard as I could just imagineing three huge monsters comeing from all sides of me exept for in front of me which is where I now knew I had to get through.... the force field..... the thing keeping me out..

I turned around so my back was pushing on the force field. As I pushed harder and harder to get through, I kept looking, forward, left, right, forward, left, right, forward, left,right! Until on my right a huge black wolf came out from behind a tree , its deep blue eyes looking right into mine, I felt a chill go up my spine and felt my hair stand up on the back of my neck. I couldn't stop looking at him, I could see as a wind brushes his fur across his face. Until a snowy white wolf came out of the trees on the left of me! He too was staring at me.

After of what felt like forever right in front of me a grey wolf came out of the bushes! We all stared at each other for a while until finally they started walking closer to me I started to panic, I screamed and started to let all my weight back into the the invisible force field! I close my eyes and kept screaming and pushing harder and harder but I started to get tired and weak..... I gave up, I stopped screaming and stopped pushing. I clenched my eyes tight then slowly opened them.

All I saw was my old path I was sitting on the moist wet ground just staring back where I was before but I didn't see the wolves or my new path I just saw....... trees and the normal forest.....

I didn't think much of it for this was a dream but.... I just thought it was odd..... I kept walking on my old path but it was sort of hazy because I haven't been on it for a very long time, but I did somewhat know where to go. I felt like I have been walking on that trail for forever and I started to get very tired so I dragged my feet across the ground, I tripped on a small rock and fell to the ground and got a deep cut from my ear to my eye.. " Ah." I said touching the cut with my two fingers. I took my fingers of the cut and looked at them.... and there was blood running down my fingeres... I wiped my fingers on my jeans and kept walking, I turned around the corner and saw my white house that blended it with the sparkleing white snow. I put my right hand up to my neck and twiddled with my locket, not even notice what I was doing. I opened up my door very carefully and stepped in. I was waiting for something to pop out at me..... but nothing did. I got a snack and walked into my room to read. I read for about fifteen minutes and started to get tired. I put my book down and looked at the foot of my bed. There was a huge gray wolf stareing right at me! At the corner of my eye on my left was a black wolf and on my right was a black wolf, just like in the woods. They again started to come closer I pushed off the blankets and scurried up torward the head board, and scrunched my self together then closed my eyes and waited........... I just waited knowing that when I finally did open up my eyes they all would be hovered around me. I remembered my locket and how every time I was in a dream I was wearing it, and that in every dream the wolves were there......... That was it!
