Tenth grade has flown by and there is only about 2 months left, we have a dance this Friday and Jamie asked me to go with him. "Mom can we go shopping for a dress today?" I asked walking into mom's bedroom. "Yeah we can do that hun is James going?" Mom asked me. "Yeah he asked this girl Kristen to go with him." I answered smiling. "I'm gonna go get ready to go." "Okay hun I'm gonna text your dad and ask if James needs to go to the mall too." Mom answered.

I decided to send a quick text to Logan and see if James needed to go too.

R: Hey Logan, does James need to go to the mall for a suit for the formal? Taking Em in a few.

L: Yeah, I was actually gonna take him too, the nanny took the other two to the park. Wanna all just go together?

R: Sounds good see you in 30 mins. Meet you at your house.

L: Sounds great Ace.

Em's pov

We headed to Hartford and all of us went shopping I found the perfect dress, it was a royal purple strapless dress that was fitted up top and poofed out in the skirt and was floor length. I also found some silver heels to go with. James found a nice suit and we all ate at the food court. As we were all sitting there enjoying our snacks I nudged James who looked up at dad and my mom. They were laughing and joking and looked so comfortable with each other. James looked at me and just smiled. We finished at the mall and headed back to dad's.

The week flew by and it's already Friday afternoon mom came over to dad's to help me get ready for the dance.

Rory's pov

We just sent the kids off to the dance. They looked so good I almost wanted to cry. "Well I guess I better get headed home thanks for letting me help you get both kids ready." I told Logan. "Anytime Ace thanks for the help with James not just Em." He told me. "I enjoyed it." I smiled and headed towards the door. "Ace." He said as I turned back towards him and he kissed me passionately, it took me off guard and I started kissing back. "Logan." I stopped him. "I've got to go." I smiled and headed out. I decided to stop and grab something to eat, the drive thru was ridiculous so I walked in. Standing in line I noticed a familiar face. "Tristan Dugray?" I asked as he turned towards me. "Well hellloo Mary!" He laughed as he walked up and gave me a big hug. "How are you?" I asked smiling. "I'm good would you like to catch up I was taking mine to go but I could sit for a minute." He asked. "Yeah that will be fine." I answered. We got our food and sat down. "So Rory what have you been up to?" He asked me. "Well I wrote a book 'Gilmore Girls' and I'm a teacher at Chilton, I have a 16 year old daughter who goes to Chilton but of course, we live in Stars Hollow." I laughed. "What about you?" "Oh let's see I'm a businessman, recently divorced, and have a 16 year old son he also goes to Chilton and we live here in Hartford now and his mom lives in New York." He told me as I started laughing. "What's so funny?" He asked me. "Oh come on Tristan, I'm your sons teacher and he's dating my daughter!" I said laughing harder. "Your daughter is Emmalin?" He asked starting to laugh also. "Yes!" I smiled. "Wow, crazy, so what about her dad?" He asked. "Well he lives here in Hartford, we were never married and he's also recently divorced." I laughed. "So you never found that cheap, sloppy, bald, beer gut plumber?" He asked laughing harder. "Oh my God, no I guess I didn't." I laughed back. "You wanna come to my place for a little bit catch up some more?" He asked and I nodded. I followed him to his place and we sat having a drink. Catching up on the last 30 years. We were laughing and having fun next thing I knew we were making out feriously clothes flying everywhere.
