I think the hardest part of switching from mom and dad's places was the time and routine changes. It would take me a few days just to adjust. I had two completely separate routines at each house. I'm gonna break it down a little for you.
Mom's house routine:
On school days we wake up at about 5:30 am every morning get our showers and do our own morning routines and meet in the kitchen for pop tarts and coffee. Then we head to Hartford for school and when we get back from Hartford we go get dinner from somewhere and then bed by 9. On Fridays we have a movie night with Nana. On the weekends we are up usually by 9 and head to Luke's for breakfast and then hang out for most the day.
Dad's house routine:
We have to be up no later than 7 per Odette. We eat breakfast and dinner at the table all together (prepared by the cook of course). All day while dad is at work we kids are expected to entertain ourselves or the nanny is to do so, but no matter what we are not to get on Odette's nerves. Dad is definitely more active in all four of our lives than Odette. I actually kind of feel bad for my siblings I couldn't imagine having that kind of relationship with my mom.
Since I'm 15 now I actually get to go explore London more now than I used to be able to. It's exciting seeing the places Odette wasn't interested in going to. Me and James both want to go to Yale when we graduate, the younger two aren't even thinking about that stuff yet. I've learned a lot growing up the way I have since I have experienced cultures of two different countries. I am close to all my siblings but I think I'm closest to James we are practically inseparable when we are together. I love the London cuisine and the small town feel of Connecticut. I'm a freak for the snow, mom says I get that from nana. I get straight A's and have a 4.3 gpa. I love to read but science is my favorite subject. My all time favorite food is cheeseburgers and French fries. I enjoy Stars Hollow festivals and love the Christmas light show in London. I love horseback riding, even though mom says that's to much like a sport for a Gilmore girl. I enjoy taking morning runs with dad and pigging out with mom. I introduced my siblings to a lot of the Gilmore traditions like movie night, this annoys Odette to no end. I also taught Carson to say Oye with the poodles already, oh man the first time he said it to Odette I thought her head was going to explode, Dad found it funny though. I spend a lot of time with papa Luke at the diner I love getting one on one time with him. Dad doesn't know it but I get a lot of time with Auntie Honor too because her and mom try to hang out at least once a month. Uncle Finn always takes me shopping before school starts even though mom always insists he's spending to much money on me. All in all I really enjoy my time at both of my homes.
