Chapter 1: Mom and Dad

Rory Gilmore and Logan Huntzberger met in college in a chance encounter. Rory found Logan to be a pompous Ass, Logan found Rory mesmerizing, and that's where their love story began. They played a game of cat and mouse for awhile but the sparks were undeniable. The banter between them flowed so naturally, there was always a witty comment or a crazy event going on. She was a Sophmore when they began dating, they had their ups and downs but had a strong bond filled with love. Just before she graduated from college Logan proposed to her in front of her entire family and many friends, but on her graduation day she turned him down.
She's told me the story many times over the years and the most important part of the story is that she did want to marry him, and that she loved him with all of her heart. Her exact words to me were, "I loved your father more than life itself and I wanted so desperately to marry him. Honestly kid I just wasn't ready to be a wife especially not a society wife."
The day she turned down his proposal he walked away, to him it was all or nothing and it still to this day is his biggest regret.
They didn't see each other again. Nearly 8 years later they found eachother again the sparks instantly flew again. At that point Logan had already been committed to Odette by his father, so they entered into a Vegas agreement that would last two years. When Rory found out that Odette and Logan were engaged and had moved in together she ended things with Logan she didn't want to be the other woman.
So Logan rounded up the life and death brigade guys and surprised Rory in Stars Hollow. They went on a crazy exciting excursion and ended the evening at New Hampshire inn. Rory asked Logan if he was really going to marry Odette and he answered that that was the dynastic plan, it was in that very moment Rory knew she had to say goodbye. They spent that one very last night together and said goodbye the next morning, little did they know from that moment forward they would be tied together for life. Logan went back to London and married Odette four short weeks later. Rory went back to Stars Hollow to try to figure out her next step in life but six weeks later her next adventure in life was thrust upon her. Rory was pregnant with Logan's child, she was pregnant with me.
