Ayano had managed to get a front spot in the crowd, stretching as everyone around her got ready. Looking around at kids from her class, everyone had determined looks in their eyes, and Ayano knew that this race wasn't going to be easy.

This might be the first and last event for me. Ayano thought to herself, and she took a deep breath, watching as the first of the three green lights shut off in a countdown, soon followed by the second one. Popping her fingers, Ayano watched as the last light went off, and everyone started moving right after Midnight shouted 'Start'

Her palms touching the soles of her shoes, Ayano darted down the tunnel, the crowd very close behind her. The ground in the tunnel was Rocky, so Ayano didn't have as smooth as a ride as she would of hoped for, but she still managed to stay near the head of the crowd.

"Okay! Here's the play-by-play!" Ayano heard Present Mics voice over the commotion in the tunnel. "Are you ready to do the commentary, Mummy-man?"

Who's Mummy-man? Ayano thought to herself, and the question was soon answered as Aizawa's familiar voice made it's way to her ears.

"You're the one who forced me to come." The voice said, muffled as Ayano would of expected.

"Let's get started right away, Mummy Man!"

Ayano had a hard time avoiding rocks as she was trying to hold in her laughter, and she accidentally hit her foot against one, falling on the ground and rolling forwards a bit. Though looking back, she saw that almost everyone was stuck in the tunnel behind her, it was way to crowded. Watching them, Ayano felt relived that she had managed to stay near the front of the crowd. Even if it was starting to get slightly crowded up there too.

As Ayano stood up, she watched a mist surround her and reach forwards out of the tunnel. Beneath her, Ayano felt the ground harden, and she jumped up, immediately realizing what was happening. Ice soon was covering the walls, ground, and most of the students feet.

At least I won't have to use my quirk now. Ayano thought. As she had fallen, the soles of her boots had broken up and they weren't frozen anymore, she propelled herself forwards, seeing Todoroki running up ahead of her, Ice spreading out from underneath his feet.

Ayano made her way out of the tunnel, and skidded past people who were complaining about the ice that had frozen over their feet. Though all around her, Ayano watched as kids propelled themselves forwards. Kirishima, Momo, Ayoama, and Bakugo were all catching up to her.

"Take that!" Bakugo was screeching, and he landed right next to Ayano, who didn't stop skating, instead, she pushed harder against the ice, making herself move faster and pulling ahead of the exploding boy.

"I won't let you two get away that easily!" Bakugo exclaimed, larger explosions coming out of his hands as he was propelled forwards faster, soon catching up and passing Ayano. Looking behind her, Ayano was watching others from her class struggling on the ice, along with others from other classes. In that moment she was greatfull for all the time she had practiced Ice skating when she was younger.

Suddenly she stumbled, the ground wasn't ice anymore. Todoroki must of stopped freezing it. She thought, No problem, I can just freeze my boots again. With that, she reached her hand to her boots, and the soles froze over once again. She propelled herself forwards, seeing Mineta catching up to Todoroki by throwing out balls that stuck to the ground and bouncing off of them. But just as he was about to throw one at Todoroki, Ayano stopped skating, seeing three familiar giant robots.

"Target found." One of them said in a robotic voice. "Lots!"

"The faux villains from the entrance exam?" Izuku asked from beside Ayano.

"Seems like it." Ayano replied, slipping off her remaining glove and shoving them both in her pocket, preparing herself.

"Obstacles have shown up suddenly!" Present Mics voice sounded from over the crowd. "Starting with... The first Barrier! Robo Inferno!"

Ayano scoffed, and took off again, despite the call she heard from Izuku behind her.

With a grin, she reached her hand up and skidded past Todoroki, who had ice spreading out from beneath his foot. He seemed to be preparing to do something big, but Ayano had a better, simpler plan. Once the Robot's claw got close, she reached her hand up and watched as it froze from the claw up. Behind her, a giant wall of freezing mist appeared, freezing all of the Robots touching it. Though Ayano was as warm as she ever was. Skidding underneath each of them, Ayano appeared out from the other side, the robots behind her, along with Todoroki quickly catching up.

There was a crash, and Ayano slowed down just enough for Todoroki to catch up with her.

"When did you get by?" He asked, his voice still as calm as ever.

"Froze one of the robots and used your plan to my advantage." Ayano explained.

"Todorki from class 1-A! He attacked and defended in one hit! How elegant!" Present Mic exclaimed.

"And it seems as if nobody noticed I had anything to do with the freezing." Ayano mused happily, "Seems like my quirk is still a mystery to many. Oh, and story to dissapoint, but I'll be taking first in this if you don't mind." She pushed harder against the ground and skated faster, easily pulling ahead of Todoroki.

This might be an easy win~ Ayano thought as she skidded along the course. Though that was only the first obstacle of many.

"Amazing! He's the first one through- Wait!" Present Mics voice made it's way to Ayano's ears. "Ayano Hyida from class 1-A made it through too, and she's pulling into first! How did she do it?"

"A true hero takes advantage any time they can." Aizawa said. "Practical people would know that."

Ayano focused more on the race, and didn't look behind her, knowing if she looked back, she would stumble. And by the sound of a breath and footsteps, Todoroki wasn't far behind her.

And she had no intentions of loosing this race.
