Chapter 55

After a week of summer break, Ayano found herself standing with the rest of her class in front of a bus.

"Those of your trying to be heroes will not receive days of rest." Aizawa stated, standing in front for the class. "At this summer training camp, we'll have you aiming for even greater heights for 'Plus Ultra'!"

"Yes Sir!" Everyone shouted before separating into groups and talking.

"What? There are people in Class A taking extra classes?" An unwelcomed voice said, and Ayano looked over towards the source— Neito Monoma. "Does that mean you had people who failed the finals? What? Isn't that weird? Isn't that weird? Even though they're supposed to be way better than Class B? How can that be?"

Thankfully, one of his classmates knocked him on the head before Ayano headed over there herself to punch him in teh face— without her glove on.

"Sorry!" Kendo said, grabbing onto the collar of Monoma's shirt and dragging him into class B's bus.

"Class A's bus is this way!" Iida shouted, getting the attention of the class. "Line up in seat order!"

Once everyone was seated and on the way, Aizawa stood at the front of the bus and started giving everyone the run down of what was going to happen.

"Everyone, the bus will stop once in about an hour. After that—"

"Let's play some music!" Kaminari shouted, and Ayano groaned as everyone around her was chatting loudly.

With a sigh, Ayano rested her head against her hand, closing her eyes in hoped to get some sleep before camp. She had a feeling she wouldn't sleep well during the next week.

Once the bus stopped, Ayano walked out with the rest of the class to stretch her legs. This was going to be the only stop they would be making.

"There's no point in stopping without a reason." Aizawa said, before the doors to the black car a bit away from them opened.

"Hey, Eraser!" Someone greeted.

"Long time no see." Aizawa said as a small group got out of the car.

"Lock on with these sparkling gazes!"  A brunette— known as Mandalay started.

"Stingingly cure and catlike!" A blonde— Pixie-bob finished.

"Wild, Wild... Pussycats!" The two finished, and Ayano felt a small feeling of annoyance rise up.

These two sound like they'll be loud. And awful. She thought.

"These are pro heroes who will be working with us during the camp, the Pussycats."

"They're a four-person hero team who set up a joint agency!" Izuku shouted a wide grin on his face. "They're a veteran team that specializes in mountain rescues! This year will be their twelfth workin—" He was suddenly interrupted by a paw to the face.

"I'm 18 at heart!" Pixie-bob shouted.

"Y-You're 18!" Izuku repeated.

Ayano sighed. Look like somebody is sensitive about their age. She thought. Now, are we going to get back onto the bus, or is there something else that's happening here?

"We own this whole stretch of land here." Mandalay said, motioning towards the forest expanding in front of them. "You will all be staying at the foot of that mountain.

"So far!" Everyone shouted.

"Huh? Then why did we stop here?" Uraraka asked.

"Hm? You don't really think they would drive us all the way to camp." Ayano said, looking at her.

It seemed by then everyone figured out what was happening, and before she knew it, Ayano was watching as everyone made an attempt to get back onto the bus.

"It's 9:30 a.m. right now. If you're fast... Maybe around noon?" Mandalay said.

By now, everyone was running to the bus, and Ayano let out a sigh. It wouldn't be that easy.

"Sorry ladies and gentlemen. Training camp... has already begun." Aizawa said, and the ground beneath Ayano started to crumble, washing everyone down to the forest floor.

"Hey! Since it's private land, you can you your quirks as you wish! You have three hours! Come to the facility on your own two feet! After getting through... the Beasts Forest!" Mandalay called from over the railing.

As everyone was complaining, Ayano sighed and looked at her gloved hands. While she had more training with her quirk, she still ran the risk of freezing the forest if she wasn't careful. Looking towards everyone, she watched as some of them took down a beast.

"It'd be best if we worked together!" Kaminari suggested.

That's the first smart idea you've had. Ayano thought.

With everyone else agreeing, the class slowly started to make their way through the forest.
