Chapter 13

I watched as they be headed him everything was suddenly in slow motion.

I could see myself walking away but it seemed like a dream. I was in my room laying on my bed the door opened and It was Charles he walked in and closed the door behind him.

I rolled my eyes and continued laying.

"We leave today. So say your farewells."

"Why do you always do that?" I asked.

"What?"

"Act like an ass when I actually start thinking your a nice person." He smiled.

"Because I'm not a nice person. I'm an ass." i rolled my eyes.

"We both know that isn't true." I said. He looked at me and rubbed his chest where the stitches were. He hissed in pain and blood poured through his shirt.

"My goodness your majesty why are you bleeding!" I said rushing to him.

I sat him down removing his shirt gently. He hissed.

"Sorry." I said.

I pulled the bandage back and saw that his wound looked terrible.

"When did you open your stitches again?"

"2 days ago." He said.

"2 days! Charles why didn't you get it stitched back up!"

"I was addressing more pressing matters." He said.

I wanted to smile because I couldn't believe he wanted to help me instead of himself. This whole trip showed me a different side to him.

And with that he walked away.

I sighed and got out of bed I packed everything i looked at my door.

"Father you wanted to see me?" I said walking into the office.

"Yes, Katherine we have finally found some use for you. Your getting married next week." My mouth hung opened.

"But- I don't want-"

"I didn't ask you if you wanted to! It isn't up for debate." I nodded blinking back my tears.

My room door opened it was the maids coming to get my bags.

I walked out with her my family was there to say goodbye.

"Bye Mother." I said hugging her.

"Greer." I hugged her.

"Denim." He hugged me.

"I'm sorry, I'll try to be a better brother and king." I smiled and nodded he wiped the tears from my eyes.

"Tell Carmen and Maria i said hello." He nodded.

Carmen and maria are another one of my siblings but they both were married off.

I walked to father.

"Father, I'm sorry that i was such a disappointment." I said he pulled me in for a hug.

"I'm sorry that you were even born." He said I blinked back my tears.

"Yea me too." I said trying to hold back a sob.

I walked to the carriage, Charles watched me in curiosity he followed and we got in.

And the carriage took off.

I was sitting on the floor of my room packing my room door opened.

"Can you knock before-" i saw Noah he closed the door.

"Noah?"

"Your getting married?" He asked i put my head down.

"When were you going to tell me! Were you ever gonna tell me!" He said.

"Noah, i have no choice! I have to." He sighed.

"I love you! I want you!" He said.

"So do i but." I sighed. "I think it's best if you forget about me and find someone whose mentally, physically and emotionally available for you." I said.

"No! I will always want you and I'll wait."

"This is marriage Noah! I won't come back I'm in it for life." I cried.

"What are we gonna do?" He cried resting his forehead on mine.

"I don't know."

The carriage stopped indicating that we were here back to the place i now call home I looked over at Charles and saw him biting his nails.

"Is everything alright King Charles?" I asked.

"You don't have to call me that." He said.

"I beg your pardon?"

"Charles. Please call me Charles." I nodded.

"Is everything alright Charles?"

"It's fine, let's go now." I nodded and we got out letting the servants bring our things in.

We walked in and everyone greeted us.

"Queen Katherine!" The kids yelled running to me i smiled and hugged each one of them.

Charles smiled at me and took my hand.

"Your good with them. They like you." He said.

"I like them too."

"There's a lot we need to talk about." I nodded.
