charles pov

I looked over and saw Katherine talking to James after I strictly told her to stay away from him. I see that i have to forbid her from seeing him. I began to get up when i saw her walking away from him.

He followed her and i stood up. I looked around and saw that a few people had begun to look at me. I sat back down. Our conversation was still going on in my mind.

I walked out of Katherine's room and came face to face with James.

"James."

"Charles."

He looked at me and smirked.

"Your wife-"

"Don't talk about my wife, in fact don't talk to her or see her. Your forbidden." I said. He laughed.

"Charles I don't want to fight with you. Nor do i want to compete with you. I came to start over."

"Stay away from my wife!"

"King Charles why didn't you tell us your wife was skilled at fighting." one of the lords asked with his wife.

I smiled

"it never came up."

"well maybe she can assist you in battle with the-"

"No, I'm afraid that's a little too dangerous." i said returning a kind smile.

"you should be happy that yout wife can do more besides spending all of your damn money and having kids." David said walking up to us.

I smiled.

"David back at court." he nodded.

"I suppose it is a blessing that she's able to protect herself and our future kids."

Mary David's wife smiled.

"Can it be! Charles is in love." i shook my head trying to deny it.

"What! No I'm no-"

"There is the girl that has our king so heart struken." Mary said pointing behind me. I turned and saw Katherine walking towards us.

she had a muffin and was eating it making a mess. She smiled at the lords that congratulated her.

"Hi Katherine it is so very nice to meet you." Loise said. Mary rolled her eyes and walked away.

"You're King Sebastian's youngest daughter?" katherine nodded.

"you know I always thought it was odd that he never mentioned you to us during the meeting and parties. I don't even think I saw you at any of the parties." Loise asked trying to get a read on Katherine.

I was about to jump in and save her when Katherine said.

"Well If your trying to suggest something then you should just come out and say it." Katherine said giving her a polite smile.

Loise's face turned colors, she sighed and put her hands on her hips. David laughed and so did I.

"I was just saying that why didn't he flaunt you around like how he did with the rest of his children." She said.

"Well I was a very ugly baby." she joked. I smiled that's my girl.

Loise gave her a fake smile and walked away. After she walked away david and I couldn't contain our laughter any longer and was nearly on the floor laughing.

"Wow I've never seen anyone make loise so quiet." David said.

"You're amazing Katherine. I kind of wished I married you." David said earning a look from me.

"Careful David that's my wife your talking about." I said he smiled and went to find his wife that walked away.

Katherine yawned.

"Katherine have you been sleeping?" i asked.

She shook her head.

"I can't."

I nodded.

"I've sent word to a physician so that problem should be fixed very soon." she nodded.

"Why were you talking to James?" I asked.

"He wants to be friends. He says he's not out for your spot he just wants a fresh start."

"You cannot be his friend! I forbid it Katherine!"

"Charles." She whispered.

"It's forbidden!"

Henry walked over to us.

"Charles do you mind if I grab your wife for a second I have some people for her to meet."

I smiled.

"Go ahead."
