"What is that?" Zero question.

"Maybe it is Elmo on a really bad day" I said laughing at my own joke. I heard Zero chuckle.

The thing grew closer as we stood there. It was looking eye to eye at us.

"Maybe we should go inside" Zero said pushing me first to the front door. I wasn't going to protest from that idea. My mom always taught me stranger danger, and it was indeed strange.

We both went inside. Hearing Zero lock the door behind us. I don't blame him. I would be boarding up the door at this point. That thing was nasty.

"Do you think it will follow us" Zero question looking out the window. "Because I don't like the sound of that".

I hope that thing doesn't follow us. I also creeped out the window. That thing was following our path just at a slower pace. It was heading for the door. I can hear it as it get closer.

"That thing looks like it is coming right at the door!" I said loud enough to express my worries.

I should have thought better than to yell that. As I grabbed the younger kids attention of what we were looking at. Slowly they came to look at what we were looking.

"What is that" Amanda question. You can heard how scared she was in her voice.

"I don't know Amanda, but go get mom".

I never turned to see her run up the stairs but I can hear he footsteps hitting each step. Going as fast as she can. My eyes were focus on on thing and it is that thing between the house and the mini van.

It made it to the porch of the house when it started to bang on the door. Loud banging made us move back. From the unexpected surprise from the things. I can start to hear Samantha going in tears. I turned to her as  she put her hand on her ears. I turned to John. I can see the expression on his face. He was beyond scared.

Zero went over to Samantha and pick her up. Cuddling her to hope to calm her down. The banging had stopped.

Letting a breathe of relief. I looked out the window to see the thing just standing there daze at what it was doing. It was slowly swaying, but still made that noise. I studied it eyes. It was so dead inside. They looked impaired from something.

The stairs had even more footsteps than before come down

"What happened" Tammy questioned. "Why aren't the bags in the trunk?"

"We ran into a situation" I said pointing to the glass window.

She walked to the glass window and glanced outside. I could tell that she was shocked. She took a deep breath.

"We need a weapon" she said moving around the house looking for something.

"What" Zero enraged "we can't kill him" he said adjusting Samantha in his hands.

"It either, we kill them or they kill us" she said moving a box. She seem to know what she is looking for.

"But he hasn't done nothing wrong" he said.

I stood there. Unable to speak the right words.

"What would we do if we don't kill it?" I question. Zero turned to me. I can tell he was mad at my statement. Just by the looked he gave me.

"We can stay here until it leaves"

"If it leaves" John adding his two statement in not wanting to be left out of the conversation.

"That would be a good idea, if you didn't leave the bag outside next to the car" his mother said. Finally finding a small metal box.

She had a point there. We would need the food. They basically cleared out the entire kitchen. I looked at Zero who knew he would be out number. His face was looking for a response.
