Entering the palace of lockers and hormones, you can hear the banshees and witches trading the knowledge they know and ogres saying their better than each other, how amazing is that now I'm just thinking about this world as a fairy fucking tale that's just the way I am I guess, I look around and see all the no bullying poster and chuckle to myself "How dumb is this school" I sigh and walk down the halls that never ended it felt like I could never escape it, I look to my left and see the door of my inescapable depression and anxiety, I put my hand on the handle turning it. No one is inside right now so at least I'll have some time to get ready and read for a bit, twenty minutes or so the class gets flooded in with students and here he comes the magician of math the one the only Mr.Diego Everyone gets seated and the day starts we go through the quests and riddles of math, Some times I lost myself but made it through the bell rings and I go back to reality the teacher dismisses us and I pack up and wait outside of the room waiting for Alec since his math class was two rooms away. I see him and wave, he walks over to me and smiles "Hey ready to head to science class" "yeah" "Okay let's go" he starts to walk and I follow him. We get there and enter the room, everyone is nowhere to be found "Are we early?" "I think so" I start to feel a bit uneasy and start to feel a presence that I've felt only in a dream, I look around to see the same black silhouette staring right at me from across the science room, everything around me fades into a white nothingness I try to run but can't i-it feels like I stuck in cement my legs are useless I can't run nor can I scream I'm just standing there with the creature walking towards me, I hear my name being called but it's faint I can't move anything it gets closer and nothing but a white terrifying sharp mouth opens from it. This creature of nightmares doesn't have eyes only a mouth I'm scared it inches closer When I feel a hand hit me straight in the face "RAVEN!!!" I hear another but it's not Alec the whiteness disappears to reveal one of my friends that I've known for almost my life Donna "Raven get your head out of the clouds girl you're literally standing in the middle of class zoning out" I shake my head and look up at her "Oh I did sorry" Donna sighs and crosses her arms "Just go to your seat before the teacher gets here" I nod and walk over to a counter sitting down on a small stool, Alec walks over and sits by me, I think to myself 'why is he wanting to hangout with me so much today, he's never wanted to since we were younger. Eh better not think about it too hard' I shrug to myself and sit there waiting for the teacher. The science teacher Ms. Hemming walks in covered in white "Hello class, today we will be working on the science of chemistry" everyone in the class began to cheer, but as soon as it starts she cuts them off "But we will not be doing any experiments until next week, for right now we will watch one or two mister par videos. The class groans in anger, I sigh a bit, but I mean we need to learn how it works before we jump into action so what's the worst that could happen, she plays the video and I instantly regret my words realizing that the videos are nothing but weird science music covers of famous songs. The class felt like it was gonna go on forever and when I thought that I was gonna be there forever the bell goes off 'Oh thank god' I thought to myself, packing up my things and getting ready to head to lunch I feel a poke on my shoulder I turn to see Alec standing on top of me "Hey umm Raven would to sit at lunch with me" he smiles "Uh I guess sure why not" I shrug and smile back. He walks out the classroom and waits by the door for me, I walk out and we walk over to lunch, Entering the lunch hall is like entering a new dungeon you can smell lack of deodorant and the words they trade off for a higher level some stay the same and others get their rank higher. Everyone is pushing and shoving to get in the line. Alec gets a spot and I go behind him "So what are you gonna get?" I shrug "Whatever they have up there, I usually pack my lunch or just skip it altogether but I forgot to today" a sigh like laugh comes out of me and I smile "Oh," he thinks to himself and smirks a bit "What are you smirking about?" "Oh nothing just thinking, Hey isn't your birthday coming up soon" "Yeah in just a week, wait how do you know and why do you ask" "Can't a guy ask his best friend about stuff" "Yeah I guess I'm just not used to you hanging out with me so much I'm usually alone around this time" I sigh "After awhile you became ignorent of me and I've just accepted it, I use to say hi and got no responce in middle school we'd always hang out and goof off, but now it's jst a dream or a faded memory gone away" I cross my arms and without noticing it we were the next people to get lunch. I grab nothing but maybe a burger and an apple I get to register to pay "That will be $4.50" she says "Alright" I reply getting into my purse but after I get the money out I see Alec giving her money and walks off "Okay you can go" she says and I get confused 'Why did he pay for my lunch, why is he acting like my friend again' These though puzzled me as I see him holding a seat right by him, I sigh and sit "So why did you pay for my lunch?" I ask and take a bite of the apple "Just trying to be a good friend  and all, I really want to hang out with you more like we did when we were younger I'm sorry for always ignoring you I just don't pay attention like I used to I mean I have been so busy with my classes since they've gotten harder" He sighs "Can we give it a try" he smiles and rubs his neck "Sure, that would be nice to have a friend like you back" I smile. We finish eating and head out to our electives, surprisingly he's in both of them for some reason.
