The weeks flew by and I started hanging out with Eli's group of friends more and more, as I had no close friends of my own which meant I had no-one to blow off. I had a worrying feeling in my stomach when we went to strange places as I knew these boys werent all 'goody-goody' but they had all promised to keep my safe, no matter what.

The day that school started Eli said Sam, one of his friends, had offered to pick us up. I put on my ripped shorts and a black tank top, then threw my hair up into a ponytail as it had been straightened from the night before and grabbed my bag. Sam arrived with the two other guys so we jumped into the back of his truck and headed to school. By the time we got there a group of girls ran up to the guys so I took that as my cue to leave. I headed off to my locker, realising Eli's was right beside mine because our surnames both began with 'F'.

I got my schedule and saw that I had a few classes with Eli, including the first which was Math so I headed to the classroom. He arrived late and took the seat beside me as I looked at him with questioning eyes. The girls in front of us kept on turning around and sneaking not-so-discreet looks at him. I rolled my eyes at them as I opened my book to the page the teacher had assigned to us before he left the room. I started reading as I heard one of the girls ahead of us trying to find out what Eli was doing that night.

The day went by pretty quickly and at lunch I sat alone, not wanting to be with the rest of the girls at the guy's table. I found myself looking at the table as I caught Eli's gaze and I quickly looked away. Jeez, embarassing much? I sat with myself for the rest of lunch and then, finally school was over. I headed outside, remembering Eli telling me this morning to wait for him outside and we could get a lift with Sam again. I was grateful for that because I was in shorts and a t-shirt and it had just started pouring rain. I waited around for half an hour until I finally gave up and cursing because I never brought my phone with me.

"Stupid, untrustful boy." I muttered to myself as I began the twenty minute walk home.

When I arrived home I remembered my Dad saying that he wouldnt be home till late again so I walked inside, soaking wet. I headed upstairs to go for a shower and on my way up I found Eli with a girl I remembered as Sophie. I shoved past him and stormed into the bathroom my temper flaring.

"Of course he forgot me for a girl. Stupid player." I muttered as the water soothed my freezing skin.

After I had my shower and had changed into sweats, a hoodie and thrown my hair up into a messy bun I headed back downstairs to make myself tea and to do my homework. I found Eli in the sitting room, watching a movie as usual. I grabbed my bag and after getting some food I started on the large amount of homework I had. After an hour or two I was finally done so I ordered dinner, as I knew my dad would forget all about it.

When the pizza finally arrived Eli walked into the kitchen, I completely ignored him again. He gave me a questioning look and I just continued ignoring him.

"Whats up Caprice?" He asked as I walked past him and headed up to get ready for bed as I realised I was exhausted. When I was ready for bed and in my room, reading my book he knocked lightly on my door. I sighed and walked over to open it up, seeing what he wanted.

"You okay?" He asked again as followed me over to my bed.

"That wasnt an invitation in." I muttered and he raised his eyebrows.

"Why are you so..."

"Pissed? Angry? Annoyed? You know it might seem stupid for you but I dont blow people off and make them walk home in the pouring rain just for some girl." I started getting angry.

"You told me this morning that I would be getting a lift with you but I guess it's good I've learnt early that I cant freaking trust you!" I basically screamed at him. Lucky Dad wasnt home..

"I'm not a babysitter Caprice. You should look after yourself." He shouted back.

"Of course, it's MY fault you made a promise and broke it. It's MY fault that I had to walk home in the rain and it's MY fault you wanted to know whats wrong with me. I was quite happy ignoring you, and frankly that's the way I want it to be from now on. Don't even try to talk to me and I'll leave you alone. Is that better?"

He opened his mouth to say something, his face full of shock, but I had not patience for it.

"Now get the HELL out of my room so we can make sure that this can be our last conversation" I said as I slammed my door shut, fuming.
