Elis's POV:

Caprice decided to hold on to what she said and ignored me for the next few weeks. To be honest, and I know I sound conceited when I say it, but I am definitely not used to having girls ignore me. Then again, it was better having her ignore me. I didnt want her getting caught up in all the crap I had going on in my life, including the things she didnt know about. So, even though it hurt me, I didnt push her to talk to me and I did my best not to talk to her. But the day when I saw her with Shane I couldnt hold back.

It was a Friday after school and I was going to my locker to put all my things in it when I saw them. They seemed to be fighting or something so I decided to hang behind before approaching her. Suddenly though, Shane lashed out and shoved her against the locker and she was struggling against him.

"Where the hell is it?" I heard him say to her and she turned her face away. He pushed her harder against the locker as I saw hers squirm trying to fight back. She was in agony. That was it. I ran right up to Shane and threw him off her. I was taller and bigger then him so he knew better then to pick a fight with me.

"Do. Not. Touch. Her. Again. Do I make myself VERY clear?" I growled at him as I punched him hard. He must have, because he nodded and ran away before I could hurt him even more. The fear was evident on his face, he was terrified of me, as most guys were if they got on my bad side. I looked to Caprice and saw that she was in shock. I pulled her to me softly and wrapped my arms around her. We stayed like that for a couple of minutes until I finally decided to speak.

"Are you okay?" I asked her quietly, not knowing how she would react. Suddenly, she pushed me away, realising who she had been hugging. She quickly grabbed her bag and walked away with her cheeks flaming.

When I arrived home I found her in the kitchen, as usual doing her homework. It was the same routine everyday with her as she didnt have much friends, so rarely went out or did anything. I opened up the fridge, forcing myself to keep my eyes from her and I grabbed a soda. I headed upstairs to my room and after a couple of hours, I heard Caprice come up too. After debating with myself for awhile, I decided to go in to her, to see how she was doing. I knocked lightly on the door before opening up the door.

"What do you want?" Caprice said angrily. Clearly I was still in the dog house.

"What was all that about Caprice? What did that jerk want?" I asked her.

"Doesnt matter." She replied quietly.

"Caprice, if thats gonna happen again, I need to know" I said.

"Oh, so you can just run along and be prince charming is it? Do you just think I'll just come running back to you and tell you that I forgive you huh?" She shouted. Jeez, this girl did like to shout a whole lot.

"Nah Caprice, that wasnt my intentions at all" I said softly, coming to sit on her bed.

"You. Have. No. Idea."

"Then TELL me Caprice, I want to help you." I pleaded.

"Get the hell out of my room. I dont want your help. I got myself into this mess, I can get myself out." She screamed as she pushed me out and slammed the door.

My anger flared. I knew that if I had to act like a freaking stalker or a bodyguard I would to help her. I pushed down the weird feeling I was getting in my stomach. I'm just helping her because they took me in. I told myself. I do not like her. I cannot like her.
