Jack's POV:
I was being such an ass to Dana. I get up and try to look for her. I suddenly hear the melody of a piano coming from a room. I peek to look at who it is, I find Dana. She starts to sing and her voice is just perfect. She plays so smoothly and sings with all her heart. I can see the pain I gave her through the way she's playing.
"I hate you, don't leave me
I feel like I can't breathe
Just hold me, don't touch me"
seeing this side of her makes me feel a certain way.
"And I want you to love me
but I need you to trust me
Stay with me, set me free"
Is she singing about me?
"But I can't back down
No, I can't deny
That I'm staying now
'Cause I can't decide
Confused and scared
I am terrified of you"
I can hear the shakiness of her voice and come to the conclusion she's about to cry.
"I admit I'm in and out of my head
Don't listen to a single word I've said
Just hear me out before you run away
'Cause I can't take this pain
I hate you don't leave me"
I can't stand seeing her like this. So I walk up to her and hold her hand for her to stop. I look at her face and I see tears streaming down.
"Hey hey stop.. shhh it's okay" I hug her and she cries on my shoulder. I rub her back trying to comfort her. "I'm sorry Dana" I kiss her forhead.
Shawn's POV:
My date with Dani is going great! Well, I don't really know if she counts it as a date but I hope she does. Since it really bothers me so much, the whole walk back to the hotel I've been trying to build the courage to ask her about the date and whether or not she feels the same way as I do and I think she's starting to notice how tense I've become.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah of course I am" I say in a really high pitched voice. I have no idea where it came from.
"Are you sure? You look like you're about hurl up the hotdog" she says.
"Okay the truth is I have been dying to ask , what are we?"
"Humans duuh" she says pulling out the most horrid joke ever.
"Dani! I'm trying to be serious here but I guess this isnt important enough for you" just like that I walk out and enter the elevator without looking back at Dani. Suddenly someone stops the elevator door and it was Dani out of breath.
"Why are you so out of breath? Where we were standing is literally 5 steps away from the elevator" I say.
"Do you know me? I don't run even if there is a fire right now, I'll make you carry me. But on the serious note I'm sorry if I didn't take you seriously out there. I'm just as nervous as you, before our date I was gonna throw up" she says looking down trying to hide her blushing face which I find really adorable.
"I'm sorry too, I was overreacting back there. This is probably the corniest thing I've ever done but may I have the honors of courting you Danielle Bordelon?"
"Is it weird to say that I really want to fangirl right now? But to answer your question, yes it would be an honor to be courted by the Shawn Mendes" she says and I let out the huge sigh of relief and pulled her for a massive hug.
Dani's POV:
After the most eventful day with Shawn, he dropped me to my hotel room while our hands interwine with the most soothing silence.
"Thank you for today, I had the greatest time" I say
"For you? Anything" he says while looking down. Without hesitating I lean forward and kiss him on the cheek.
"Um okay uh see you tomorrow" I say without looking at him in the eye and I run inside the room.
My back is against the door and I slowly sink to the ground. I started fangirling over what happened earlier. I find it so adorable how he wants to have the "Old School Love". Not a lot of boys nor men these days would ask a girl if they can court her and I was greatful enough to have Shawn and his sweet ways. I smile at the thought of it.
"Are you okay?" I hear someone say and realizing that it was Dana.
"Huh? What?"
"uh you're kinda on the floor smiling at the bathroom door, you look really uh how should I say this uh mental. You look like me when I haven't eaten after 4 hours."
"Oh shut up. What happen to you? You look like you smoked pot."
"Well, today was really eventful so shatap kay"
