Play Me A Song (Jack Johnson/ Shawn Mendes)

Chapter 11

Dana's POV:

We're now about to go on stage and I'm so nervous! Jack is comforting me and it's kinda helping. I've never been on stage before. I didn't eat because I'm scared I might puke on stage, and that's a first.

"You're gonna do great, we watched you rehearse. Don't worry" Jack says while tucking my hair behind my ear. 

I nod and look up to see Angela with headphones on dancing very awkwardly. She's not even nervous, she has experience in these kinda things.

Dani walks to us and face palms herself. "She has so much skills" She says sarcastically. Angela stares at us blankly not knowing what we're talking about since she has headphones on.

As we hear Shawn finishing his song. My nerves start to kick in as I hear the stage managers call us to go out.

"I'll be here watching, if you get nervous just look at me." Jack says while walking us to the stage.

I let out a heavy breath while picking up the guitar. Angela and Dani prepares themselves while Shawn introduces us. We start out the song smoothly until I hear a wrong key from the piano, we just ignore it because it's typical clumsy Angela.  Suddenly I hear the keyboard go to a stop and I sense Angela running off stage. We continue playing but the thought of Angela worries me. I look at Shawn and he can tell what I'm thinking. I put my guitar and search for Angela backstage. I find her near the stairs having a nervous breakdown. She's not alone though, Aaron is with her holding a glass of water for her to drink so that she could calm down. But, her breakdown got so bad to the point she faints. Aaron panics and looks around till his eyes meet mine, signalling me to call someone for help.

I run back and call for a medic. An ambulance comes and brings Angela to the hospital. I go backstage trying to catch a breath.

Dani's POV:

When Dana went off stage, it was just me and Shawn continuing the song. I actually managed to play the whole song without messing up. Maybe it's just the presence of Shawn that makes me feel comfortable on stage. I hear ambulance sirens in the background and a hint of worry starts to get to me. I brush it off and play the next song. I mean it's probably  nothing right?

After the song finishes , everyone goes on stage and the fans start to ask us questions. Dana walks up on stage with her expression changed. I look at her questioningly . A fan then asks "Where is Aaron and Angela?" and everyone looks at Dana.

"Oh they're fine. Angela just kinda had a nervous breakdown and Aaron went with her." Dana explains.

"Why did she have a nervous breakdown?" another fan asks.

" Oh probably because she's not used to such a big audience, I don't really know." Dana replies again.

We go on with the activities and when it finishes we go straight to the hospital.
