(888 words)Taehyung didn't find anything, he just kept running, his legs giving up on him sometime late at night.
He then realizes that maybe the best option should had been going back, following the rules and being a good boy, but somehow, the premise of finding Jungkook is a much stronger tentation.
To hug him again.
To be surrounded on his sweet scent.
Those are just stupid whishes that dance around on the depths of his shattered heart.
Taehyung is naive, and being weak and easy to led on is what makes him such a nice prey for his hunter.
Hidden just behind him, always by his side but never seen.
Probably that's what he hates the most, the fact that Taehyung clearly never saw him, never thought about him strongly enough, never caressed his fingers the way he did with Jungkook's, so lovingly, and knowing that the hopeful beautiful smile plastered in the other's face is all thanks to the long go raven-head just makes his blood boil in anger.
Because Jungkook will never love him as much as he himself loves Taehyung.
Jungkook will never care for Taehyung the way he does, if he did, why isn't he here?
The silver-haired keeps on running despite being exhausted until he reaches a little empty park, it will most likely be the best place he will find to rest, so stepping slowly towards a bench Taehyung reads the letter once again.
The words making him laugh sadly, so hurted, so empty, there's nothing he can do anymore.
If he did find Jungkook... What would have it been like?
It's scary how his trust is almost gone completely and all that keeps him attached to the younger boy are memories that, like the officer said, are likely to be some kind of game or false ilusion.
Love, is it a feeling or an ilusion? Can true love be born in a false scenario? If it can't... Then where does the agony that's breaking his heart come from? What's the feeling that's grabbing onto him so desperatly to not be forgotten? To not be erased, to stay and warm his body until a smile creeps slowly towards his lips, what's that called?
He doesn't know, regarding knowing something he doesn't even know his goal or why is he even seated on a bench in this cold night, who is he trying to find anyway?
Someone that doesn't exist anymore.
What does he expect? Because he for sure has to have some expectations.
Maybe he just wants... peace?
Currently his insides are so messed up that he can't find anything relatively reassuring between his dark thoughts.
The nightmares haven't been stopping either, just getting worse, more and more unrealistically dramatic, blood spilled everywhere while it covers his long fingers.
But once again he has to remind himself that he is not a killer, the chances that his dreams are a result of all the things the police told him about Jungkook are very high, they need to be, there's no any other explanation for them.
However, that opens a new question in his mind, is Jungkook the killer?
And he can't even believe he is asking himself something that days ago was clear for him.
The reality is so diffuse that everything could be posible by now.
He wrote "...everything I did, I did it for you...", does that mean he killed everyone because of him? To be together?
In his dreams there's always someone telling him to leave Jungkook, and as far as he knows he did leave him once, he remembers dreaming about it, right on the drive to Busan, back then everything seemed to be just a bad joke played by his subconcious self, did he just want to get rid of the people opposing to their love? Is that the reason why they were together?
That's pretty messed up, isn't it?
A shiver runs down his spine and suddenly the way he sees things changes on his head, like an unlooked-for realization hitting not only his brain but also his heart.
Yet by his logic everything makes sense, then what Jungkook felt wasn't love but a toxic obsession with him and he... He fell in love with a monster. His body is stained with the feel of a psychopath running his fingers through it.
It makes him want to die.
He has to go back and stop chasing after Jungkook, because he is not the sweet boy he met, he is not the boy who cried over the possibility of losing him, no, that was just a lie, all was a big fat lie.
Jeon Jungkook is a killer.
And he might be his next victim.
The tears can't stop running down his cheeks when he stands up ready to leave the place.
How could he be so blind and how did the truth hit him so harshly.
As he walks away sobbing Taehyung feels a tight grip on his wrist, his heart stops beating for a while before going full force against his chest and as he turns around a knot starts to form up on his throat.
His eyes can't believe what they see.
However, it has to be real.
In this dark world there's nothing he can blame on the circunstances anymore.
