Put Man in a cage
Tell him he's a monster
Drive the man insane
Soon the world will think the same

Do I have permission to suppose
Good and Evil thrive in the world
Then I would like to add
Does Man know what's good or bad

Set him before a history book
He will point his finger right and left
If Idea was a cook
He would swallow this and spit out that

But does he know the truth of right
Who is he to judge
Which hands turn the pages white
And which will leave a smudge

Some men assert no right no wrong
Some men declare the day too long
Some men hold the hard lock's key
I know no friend to say who are we

These men who move about the earth
Who are they and what is their worth
They mock their fellow human being
Then turn and praise higher feeling

They scramble as if mad
Upon a field of blood
Then run away and cry
As if they never knew someone had to die

But when a wrong is dealt
That person has to pay
Not restitution for damage felt
But by wasting soul away

By now you must be sneering
Well who are you to say
As if your time is nearing
As if you ever saw the day!

To this I answer Men
Must be more than they dream
So I say that most times
Men are more than their crimes

But put them in a cage
Tell them they are Monsters
Drive them so insane
And the world will think the same
