Chapter 12

Alexis's POV

My hands were slightly shaking from silently freaking out in my mind, now I had no release. It took so much effort to seem calm on our way back to the house. I couldn't cut and now I couldn't even smoke, those had been my only releases my entire life and when I couldn't do one I would do the other. They were destructive but I knew that, that was the point. My body was ruined anyway so why not just fuck it up even more? I felt a hand on my arm and it made me jump a little and look up. Tony was looking over at me in concern, his eyes were more focused on my arm between glances at the road.

I look down to see what he was looking at, now noticing that I had been digging my nails into my arm while I was in my mind. "Be careful, please" He says quietly before hesitantly moving his hand away. I sigh and put my hands at my sides so that I couldn't hurt myself more, at least with him right next to me. We pull up to the house and I clutch my things to me as I get out, I was suddenly feeling really guilty now that someone knew what was in my purse at this very moment.

Tony seems to be letting me have some space because he's no rushing out of the car to catch up with me. I look up at the door instead of my feet and I see a piece of paper taped to the door, I couldn't see what it said from here so I sped up again. I stopped in front of the door and froze.

"I said I would kill you if you told

Now I have help in keeping that promise

You brought this onto yourself you little bitch"

I looked around frantically, knowing for a fact that was from my father. In my panic I bumped into Tony when he finally walked up and couldn't help but scream. He quickly covers my mouth so that I don't alarm the neighbors and looks me in the eyes. "Its ok, Alex its just me." He says in a calm tone in hopes to calm me down as well. I stop screaming but I'm violently shaking and still trying to look around, the door opens behind us and I quickly turn to see it was just Damian and Romy. Damian rushes over to me and pulls me close. "What happened, why did she scream and why is she shaking so much." He asks with Romy behind him. I'm still looking around and Tony says he doesn't know.

There's a small gasp and I knew Romy saw and read the note on the door. "Come on kids, get inside. Now" She says and rushes us inside before shutting and locking the door. Tony and Damian look at her in confusion and then down at the note that's in her hand. Damian holds me closer as I look bugged eyed out the window. Romy sees me looking out the window and quickly closes the curtain. She gives Damian a look before slowly pulling me away from him and leading me over to the couch, making sure all the curtains were closed since she knew I would work myself up even more from looking out the window.

"Mom what the hell is going on? What does that note say?" Damian says in an annoyed but frantic tone. she ignores him and sits down beside me and makes me look into her eyes. "Alexis listen to me, we will not let anything happen to you. That fuck wont get anywhere near you as long as we are concerned. Now what is going to happen is I am going to call the police and tell them whats on this note, Damian is going to bring you upstairs to rest and you will try to rest." I could tell she left no room for any argument so I slowly nod.

She looks up at Damian and nods to him, at this point I think both him and Tony have a pretty good idea about what is on that note and who wrote it. Damian comes over and slowly lifts me from the couch, he wipes my cheek from tears that I just now realized were falling. The sobs finally follow and I almost collapse in his arms, he catches me and picks me up so that I don't have to try and walk.

I could hear Tony talking with Romy as Damian carried me up the stairs but I didn't pay much attention to what was being said. I lean my head into his chest as he carries me up the stairs.
