"I'm not sure about this." I said, looking in the mirror.

"You look amazing." Avery took a step back, looking me over. Avery came home with me after school because I was going over to here house to have dinner with her family. She looked through every piece of clothing I had to find the nicest thing I owned. It turned out it was a blue and white button down shirt and a dark pair of jeans. I wanted to refuse to wear them but then remembered her dad was the sheriff and I would have to make a good impression.

"Are you sure I should come over?" I asked, messing with my hair.

"Yes, I said you were coming. My dad wants to meet you. He wants to meet the boy who wanted to meet in a park at 11 o'clock at night." She came over to me and got close. She was really close.

"Ah yeah, I forgot about that." I bit my lip, messing with my lip ring.

"Yeah, he didn't and you got to take that out." She reached my up and touched my lip ring, messing with it till she unhooked it and pulled it out.

"And what are you wearing to that dinner?" I asked, not feeling up to being the only one who is all dressed up.

She walked over to her backpack and pulled out a dress, it was black with some type of pattern on it. She started to take of her clothes without saying anything. Wanting to be a gentleman, I turned around and looked at my phone. I was getting a call. I stepped out of the room and took it.

"Hello?" I didn't recognize the number.

"Hey, kid, it's me." Think this is was the guy with the list.

"You know you can't just say 'its me' without telling me who you are." I rolled my eyes.

"Whatever, kid. Listen, when are you gonna finish the list?" Why was that important? Why couldn't I get it down on my own time?

"Within the next few weeks." It was true. I had looked at the last few name in the list. These people are harder to kill, so it's going to take more time. But I wanted out in 30 days, finished.

"Okay, just checking in." He hung up.

"Baby?" I turned to Avery. Did she really just call me baby? "Can you zip me?" She turned around, showing me the open zipper.

"Yeah, sure." I walked over and zipped it. She turned back around. The dress was skin tight, the material looked velvet like and the sleeves were lace. She looked amazing.

She must have noticed my smile. "You like it?" I nodded.

I still had a bad feeling. "Maybe I shouldn't go and kill someone. I'm almost done with the list." She placed her hand on my chest.

"No way, mister. You have killed 5 guys in the last 4 days. You're taking one night off, understand?" I laughed at her look, she couldn't pull off serious so much. She hit my chest. "Stop laughing."

"Okay. Should we leave?" I asked looking at the time.  She nodded.

The walk took an hour at least. We did take the long way. Avery hasn't seen much of the town, so I took her on a tour. There wasn't much to this town but it still had cool parts to hang out. Once I'm done with the list I would take some time off so we could have a bit of normal teenager time.

We finally showed up at her house. It looked like a normal two story suburb  house. Once inside, it looked even more like a typical house for a family. Magazine furniture, simple framed photos. A house anyone would want.

"Do you like my home?" Avery asked, since I didn't say anything as we walked through the house.

"It's fine. I love it." I lied to her. In fact, it wasn't fine. This house reminded me of thing I don't want to think of.
