Hey there Elsa! So I know I pretty much made you wait till the very last day of the exchange period and I'm really sorry about that. But, I really hope you enjoy your gift! Out of all the options you had listed I couldn't help but choose Prompto. I'd never written for him before but I absolutely love him! I mean who doesn't, he's the literal embodiment of sunshine! Anyway, I hope you like it, let me know what you think! :)

Prompto hadn't expected to see you again after high school. He'd assumed that all the greetings exchanged in the hallways or the small conversations the two of you shared during some of the classes you were both in were things of the past. It was a small crush that he'd harbored for you anyway not something that would've ever developed into anything more, or at least that was what he told himself.
All of the butterflies and feelings had resurfaced the moment he'd spotted you in the library. You hadn't seen him, which he was extremely thankful for. The library wasn't somewhere he ever thought of spending much of his time because most of it was spent with Noctis. But ever since graduation Noctis had started to become busier with his royal duties which meant Prompto needed to find a better use of his free time.
It had been a spontaneous decision to go into the Insomnia Public Library, he'd thought he might be able to find some interesting books about photography, maybe some new techniques that he could try. He was glad he made that decision though, because after he saw you he came to the library everyday at the exact same time. He'd grab a pile of books that he was genuinely interested in but who was he kidding, most of his time sitting at the table was spent watching you. When he really thought about it, it seemed kind of creepy but he wasn't being creepy about it he just was glad he could see you again. He couldn't really muster up the courage to talk to you himself so he was content with observing you work over the top of whatever book he held open in front of him.
You hadn't expected to see Prompto again after high school either. You thought of him more than you'd like to admit, he was someone you genuinely missed. You were a bit more on the quiet side and had trouble opening up to people but Prompto's playful nature and his sense of humor had quickly brought you out of your shell. Although you only spent time with him during classes and maybe a few words in the hallway here and there you still cherished those moments all the same. You had toyed with the idea of officially befriending him but, spending time with Prince Noctis intimidated you. You knew he wasn't a jerk or a snobbish person but you just couldn't help feeling that way.
You didn't know exactly when he had started coming to the library and probably would've taken a much longer time to even realize he was there if your coworker hadn't pointed it out to you. She'd nonchalantly mentioned during lunch that there was blonde guy who came in everyday and would watch you every so often. Initially you'd been slightly creeped out by it until you saw who the blonde guy was. And not wanting to miss out on the opportunity you'd greeted him yourself, engaging in a small conversation.
After that, Prompto continued coming to the library for the past few months and talking to him soon became the highlight of your day. Along with that, the small crush you'd been nursing for him had also returned but you were sure you'd get over it.
**
Prompto always had a pep in his step as he left Noctis at the Citadel every day, making his way to the library. The guys had been surprised when he'd told them that he was spending his free time at the library but once they found out the true reason he was going to the library they wouldn't stop teasing him. He didn't mind though, he was just glad to see you everyday and have whatever short conversations he could with you.
