Rose was at her Dhampir Class and Lissa was in Water class.

I walked into the empty church and looked at the beautiful painted windows of the Church. I soon saw the steps and headed up to the attic.

My Secret Hideout.

Nobody knows about it.

Inside theirs old books on Saint Vladimir and this beautiful painted window in the shape of a flower with a red center with two chairs nearby.

I dropped my back-pack near a chair and stooped near the window to look up into its moonbeam rays. I come to think here, always have until we left.

I hear a door close and gasped as I jumped and turned around to see a handsome boy. He had slicked back brown hair and 1 brown and blue eye and dark clothes.

Christian Ozera.

"Don't worry. I don't bite. Well" he paused, "Only literally."

"What are you doing here?" I asked him my heart still pumping from when he scared me, yet my stomach had butterflies. "This is where I come to get away." He explained as he looked around to emphasize he comes here lot.

"Hey this was my... special place before it was your special place." I explained to him. "What do you have to get away from, Amelia?" He said as he started to walk slowly towards me, "What do you know about pain? Break a nail while fighting Strigoi?"

"Excuse me, after a car crash-" I started, "You got off easy." He cut me off. "How dare you! Do you have any idea what it's like to lose your family?" I snapped as I thought about my Mom, my dad, Andre, and Mr. and Mrs. Dragomir, who I thought of as family.

He looked down, sad. I then realized he lost his family. "Oh. Sorry." I softly murmured.

He looked back up, "When your friends folks died, there was a pretty funeral, and everybody cried." He paused and walked closer to me, "When my mother and father were hunted down, everybody cheered. I hate what they chose to become..." He said as he stopped in front of me, "But they were still my parents."

"A Strigoi can't enter holy ground. Is that why you come to the church? To prove to everyone that you haven't turned?" I asked.

"Maybe I just like the way the moonlight hits this spot." Christian replied as he sat in one of the chairs while I still stood. I looked towards the window and and sat down while saying, "It's as if you're on another planet."

He looked at me, "What was it like... outside the Academy?" I looked at him, "It was kinda of scary, just the three of us out there, but... it was also kind of great. No one knew who I was."

"It does sound kind of great. But what did you do for blood?" He asked as he leaned forward, "I mean, it's not like you can pick it up at 7-Eleven. Or, so I've read. You, Rose, and Lissa, all alone on the road. I have my theories."

"Promise me you won't tell your friends these theories." I asked with a slight smirk.

"I promise you I have no friends to tell." He said as he stared at me with an adorable expression on and an unreadable emotion in his eyes.

I stared at him. I had a total crush on him. I bit my inner lip, not trying to be desperate. He was so handsome and kind. His eyes were beautiful and unique. His lips looked so soft, soft to the touch.-Whoa. Amelia never seen you so in love before. I thought to myself.

Shut up, I told myself mentally. Quit staring into his eyes.

"Can I draw you?" I asked as I took at my notepad and a pencil. "Sure." He said with a smile as he leaned back into his chair and looked into my eyes.
