Chapter 10

It was happening. The moment i had been dreaming about since i first laid eyes on him. It had been worth the wait. But would it be worth everything that was yet to come? As much as i wanted to spend an eternity lying next to the man who had just shattered every expectation i had about sex, i knew better. It was a one-night stand and rules applied. 

Y/N: Oh! 

V: Sorry, i didn't think anyone else was up. 

Y/N: No worries. It's your house. 

V: You're not leaving right now, are you? 

Y/N: Yeah. I thought i should head home. 

V: Not by yourself, you're not. 

Y/N: V, i'll be fine. 

V: You don't know this place like i do. Either you stay until sun up or i'm walking you. Your choice. 

The idea of V walking me home felt strange, but i did not want to risk being here when Jimin woke up. 

Y/N: Fine. Let's walk. 

V: Good call! 

Despite the fact that he was being a complete gentleman, i could tell something was bothering him. 

Y/N: V, is everything alright with you? 

V: Are you really asking or are you just being polite? 

Y/N: You're the only company i've got right now. It's probably a bit of both. 

V: Well said. I'm just a little heart sick right now. That's all. 

Y/N: You? 

V: Yes, Y/N. Even us bad boys get the blues. 

Y/N: (laughs) What happened? 

V: I've been waiting around for someone for a really long time, because she's worth it. But, i finally realized that if she wanted to be with me, she would. 

Y/N: So you called things off? 

V: Hurt or be hurt, right? 

Y/N: There has to be a way around that. 

V: I don't think there is. So, what made you decide on Oxblood Academy? 

The truth was, i hoped it was far enough away from home that no one would have heard of me or what happened, but there was no way i was divulging that. 

Y/N: Because it was as far away from my brother as i could get. 

V: (laughs) I hear that. 

Y/N: What about you? 

V: Jimin and i came for the same reason. We needed to get out of dodge, make something better for ourselves than what our folks could do. Than we were doing. 

Y/N: What were you doing?

V: That's not important. What's important is that we got the hell out of there. 

I wanted to ask more, but it seemed as if questions might not be welcome... 

V: Let me walk you the rest of the way to your dorm. 

Y/N: Thanks, V. 

It was after two in the morning, but i was praying Lisa was still awake so i could tell her every glorious detail of my night with Jimin. But she was sleeping like a baby and i was out of luck. As Lisa quietly snored, i willed every sensation i had experienced that night. To stay firmly lodged in my memory, so i could recall it whenever i want it. I had almost completely lost myself in the tantalizing memory when i got a text.
