Chapter 26

My heart raced. Pure adrenaline was pumping through my veins as we tried to find safety. 

L: This is the back room. We should be safe here. 

JM: Y/N? Y/N, it's me, Jimin! 

There he was. I was so relieved i could barely contain myself. 

Y/N: Jimin! (hugs him) 

JM: What's going on?

OC: Someone cut the power to the building. They could be trying to set a trap. 

JM: Do you think it's Y/N's attacker? 

OC: It could be. 

KH: But we have to scour the premises to be sure. 

OC: And what made you such an expert on protocol? 

KH: Oh, just seven years in the US Navy, and three in Top Secret Ops. I'm Y/N's bodyguard.

OC: I thought you were a student at Oxblood. 

KH: That's the idea. 

OC: Well, i never. I could use your help in securing the grounds until my backup gets here. 

KH: I would love to, but i have to make sure Y/N's protected. 

JM: Go. I'll make sure nothing's happens to her. 

KH: Is that okay with you, Y/N? 

Y/N: Of course. 

KH: Good. Stay put. 

L: I think there are some candles in the storage closet. 

V: I'll come with you. 

E: Hey, you guys cool? 

JM: Yeah, we're good, man. Eric, this is Y/N. Y/N, this is my neighbor, Eric. 

Y/N: We've met. 

E: I didn't think you'd remember me... anyway... is there anyone i can call for you guys? I'm going to go upstairs and see if i can get some cell service. 

I thought about having him call JB, but the last thing he'd want to hear is that Kihyun left me alone with Jimin. 

Y/N: I think we're good. 

JM: Thanks, dude. 

Then there we were, alone together again. 

JM: Are you okay? 

Y/N: Yeah. I mean, who knows if this is even about me. 

JM: Well, i'm certainly not willing to take any chances. 

I nearly swooned right then and there. He was so sweet, so free with his emotions suddenly. Was it just my imagination, or had things changed between us? 

Y/N: So... in your mind, where are we right now? 

JM: What do you mean? 

Y/N: Like where are we, you know? In our relationship? 

JM: Y/N, we are what we have always been. We are sleeping together exclusively, until we get bored, and then we walk away. 

After all we had been through, did he really mean that?   

JM: Is that still okay with you? 

But, before i could even answer... 

L: Y/N! All the doors have been locked from the outside! We're trapped in here!
