Chapter 22

I called JB as soon as i got JB's text. And sure enough, JB was responsible for V's arrest. As Lisa's and hurried down to the jail, i wondered... how much longer i would be able to keep my brother's occupation a secret. Especially with Kihyun the bodyguard following me around. Even if he was keeping a safe distance, i knew it was only a matter of time... until everyone would be scared to come near me, all over again. 

L: Poor Nelly. She is so worried about him in there. 

Y/N: Tell her not to be. I told you my brother would get him out. 

L: Yeah, okay. Tell me again how the person who put V in jail is just going to let him walk out? 

Y/N: Lisa, it was a misunderstanding. JB walked into our room to collect our things, and saw what he thought was V stealing our stuff. 

L: But V told him what he was doing there! He told your brother he was my boyfriend! 

Y/N: I explained this to you, Lisa. JB has crazy trust issues, even worse than mine. 

L: I get it, i get it. I'm just really worried about him in there. 

I was too. Really... But i couldn't help but wonder where Jimin was. I had expected him to be in the waiting room when we got out to the jail, but there had been no sign of him. 

L: You're thinking about Jimin again, aren't you? 

Was i really that transparent? 

Y/N: Yes, i'm sorry. But, he sent me that text and now he's not here... It's just hard not to think that he's avoiding me. 

L: Well, your brother did throw his best friend in jail. Maybe he didn't want to be next. 

The words cut, but i knew she didn't mean them to. Worst of all, sh was probably right. 

L: Baby! 

V: Hey, doll. 

L: (kisses him) I was so worried about you, babe. 

V: Why? A couple hours in the slammer is nothing for me. 

Even though i was pretty sure V hated me now, i was still glad to see he'd gotten out unscathed. 

Y/N: V, i'm so sorry that happened to you. 

V: Hey, don't feel bad for me, kid. Jimin's the one who got the worst of it. 

Y/N: What are you talking about? 

V: When your brother's goons were hauling me off, Jimin showed up. I'm guessing he came to warn me or something. Anyway, i guess your brother's not a big fan of the J.I.M.I.N, because he had some pretty serious stuff to say. 

I was actually living my own nightmare. 

Y/N: What did JB say to him? 

V: I was literally being hauled out of the room, so i didn't hear all of it, but it started with something along the lines of, "if i have to tell to you stay away from my sister one more time, i'll make your life a living hell." 

Scratch that. I was living my own unique version of hell. 

V: Anyway, i'm beat. 

L: I bet. Let's get you home. Y/N, do you mind if i stay with V tonight? 

Of course i did. The past couple of days had been completely awful, and i wanted my best friend with me. But i could tell that V needed her too. I would have to be content with Kihyun the bodyguard for the evening.
