Rahul.  It read Rahul.  "Rahul....Rahul"  I kept reading the tag, i could hear my voice getting louder.  "Rahul...RAHULLL!!!!!", I screamed.  " How dare you..you..bloody Rahul!  Look what you did to my dress.  Do you know how expensive this is?!!  You bloody Rahul!"  I hadn't realized that my mom was squeezing my arm, more like grabbing.  The entire restuarant had froze and was staring at me and this clumsy Rahul.  I glance around and felt a knot in my throat.  I didn't realize how voilent and loud  I became.

I dash out of the resturaunt, curry drippin off my dress and running down my legs.  I stared running down the streets in the direction of my house.  I don't know why, but I started crying.  I guess I was being a bit harsh on clumsy rahul.  I soon ran out of breath, slowed down, and started walking.  The sky was dark blue when i left the restuarant, now it is pitch black.  I wondered where my family was.  Either they got in trouble and kept apologizing for their stupid daughter's mistake, or the manager was trying to fire Rahul, but my parents would keep saying it was my carelessness.  Anyway,  a nice breeze flew in, it felt good at first, but the wind got stronger and I got goosebumps and held my arms to stop shivering.  I finnally reached my house.  The lights were all on.  I guess while I was walking down the street I didn't recognize them passing by on the road, probably because they were in a taxi.

I walk up the front porch, and knock on the door.  I hear footsteps dashing to the door.  The door opens and for a second I catch a glimpse of my whole family, with my mom who opened the door.  Next thing I know, I feel a painful slap across the side of my face.  I lightly rub my cheek as I gaze at my mamaji's angry face.  She pulled me inside, and pushes me onto the couch.  She starts screaming at me.  " Poonam, why would you say such things to a poor guy? !  Don't you care that you embarassed our whole family tonight, huh Poonam?!" ... I just sit there, being scolded at,  everything was a blur to me right now.  Mamaji finally turned off the lights, left the living room and went to her bedroom.  I just sat there in the dark on the couch.  I could hear my dad trying to calm my mom down.  About ten minutes later, I saw the bedroom lights go off.

Then I got up and walked over to the kitchen sink and washed my face, escpecially the side that got slapped.  I walk upstairs into my room, shut the door and climb into bed.  I lay there, I thought I would have been able to sleep since it was a long day.  But whenever I close my eyes,  hear the echo of my voice screaming at Rahul. And an image of his hurt face.  As I was drowed in guilt and regret, I eventually fall asleep.

I wake up and look at the alarm clock on my nightstand.  It read 8:37.  I decided that I was going to stay in bed.  Every morning, I'm up by 8:40, not a second after.

Mamaji

"Oh God, Poonam hasn't woken up yet"  I kept glancing at the kichen clock.  It read 8:40,  Poonam never sleeps after 8:40.  I was pacing back and forth across the kitchen, I guess I shouldn't have been so harsh to her yesterday.  After all, she was my daughter, she did deserve her respect.  Plus she graduated and is 18.  I am going to go apologize to her once she wakes up.  I hadn't got any sleep last night.  Me and  Poonam did have a special bond.

I glance at the clock,  it was 11:00.  I started freaking out.  As a mother, this is common.  Poonam still hasn't woken up.  Something's up...  I ran up the stairs, up to her room.  I slammed the door open.  And I saw the curtain on her window swaying  in the wind, because the window was open.  She had climbed down the tree and walked down to a nearby park that has a beautiful lake.  I just stared at the window and smiled.

        Poonam

I was walking in the grass along the lake.  I always come here for motivation and when I'm feeling sad.  I tossed some rocks into the lake. Kept walking. There was other people walking too along the lake.  There was a walk trail, but mostly runners used it though.  As I was walking a person about ten feet away, dropped like a large folder from his open backpack.  I ran up, looked down.  It was a manilla folder, with messy papers.  I reach down grab the folder and ran up to the guy with the open backpack.  I tap on the guys shoulder, saying "Excuse me".  The guy turned around and he looked very familiar.

        It was Rahul.
