He Will Regret Me

A Reunion

I look at my phone and swallow hard. How did he know?Was he watching me the whole time?

Oh god...this is all messed up...

I type a text back, my fingers shaking as I did.

'I didn't mean for it to happen'

I feel tears brim at my eyes. Here we go again with my crying...Why can't I just have a normal relationship?

Of course I can't. Because my life isn't normal.

My fingers tremble to type the number. I put the phone up to my ear,hoping that voice will answer.

"Hello?" A groggy voice picks up.

"Dani,I...oh god...what have I done?..."My voice shaking with tears.

"Kayla,slow breaths...Your going to hyperventilate."

I slow my breathing. Taking calm deep breaths. In through my nose out my mouth.

"Now Kayla, what's wrong?"Dani asks calmly.

"Ok...I was at the park just taking a walk...and then Joey appears. We was just talking and then the next thing I know-"

"You kissed?"Dani says before I could finish.

"Yeah..." I reply quietly. "But that's not the worst part...then Dereck texts me 'How was that kiss,Kayla?'"

"Sounds like you got a problem..."Dani says intently.

"I need help Dani!I don't know what to do!"I say sobbing again.

" First ,calm down. Second,go ask your parents if I can come over..." She says soothingly.

I put her on hold and walk to my parents room just across the hall. I walk in and shake mom."Mom,can Dani come over?"

She nods her head drowsily.

I come back to the phone. "Yeah you can come over.".

"Okay,I'll be over there".She replies.

I wait for about 45 minutes and a small knock was at the door. I unlocked it and let Dani in.

She gives me a sympathetic look and hugs me. I hug her back. God,I've missed her so much. I need my best friend back,I've kicked her out and went with boys. When she was the one who helped me with this.

"You alright?"She pulls back and looks into my eyes,caring.

I smile" Yeah,I just need help with this."

Dani smiles back " That's what best friends are supposed to do!"

After about a couple of sitting on the couch and passing my phone back and forth. Something was actually resolved. I had gotten Dereck to understand that I didn't have feelings for Joey nor will I ever and the kiss was started by him.

Dani sighs heavenly " What a night...."She falls back on the couch acting like she just came back from working in a hot factory. I pat her head jokingly, " There,there."

She smiles back at me "I'm glad your my best friend" I jokingly sigh" ugh! But it's a lot of work to be yours!" Dani slaps me softly"that's not very nice"

30 minutes later we was in our room with Dani snoring softly beside me and me laying awake thinking about the events that occurred today. It was an exhausting day.

My eyelids slowly got heavy. They started to flutter shut. Then in seconds my head was filled with dreams.

So yeah I'm aware of how short chapters are but I haven't been able to write that much...so that's for the wait. But don't let that stop the reading ^^.
