CJ: Tee I don't think we should be together anymore.

Me: What? Why?

CJ: I can't be with you if your mom doesn't even like me.

Me: But her opinion doesn't even matter.

CJ: To me it does.

Me: It shouldn't tho. If you really care about me, it shouldn't matter what anyone thinks.

CJ: I know. But I just can't..

*End of Flashback*

Those words kept replaying in my head to the point where I got lightheaded. I guess I started breathing weird because Ro looked at me strange.

Ro: You okay Tee?

Me: I don't know.

At first we were finishing up our projects, but when I took a break, I just started getting flashbacks. They started to overwhelm me and I started getting short-breathed and Ro looked at me worried.

Ro: Tee. You need to go to the hospital?

I looked at her and nodded. She Helped me up and led me to the car, and sped me to the hospital. She had called Dalvin to tell him where I was and she knew Lisa wouldn't be back to the room anytime soon, but she left a voicemail for her. They checked me on and saw what was going on, and told me I was having an anxiety attack. They gave me some oxygen and things slowly went back to normal. Surprisingly, Lisa and Dalvin appeared in the room and they were glad I was ok. But even after the doctors got me together, I was still kinda upset. The doctors released me and we went back home.

Lisa: I'm goin to sleep yall.

Me: Alright.

Lisa went in the back and I sat on the sofa.

Ro: You gonna be alright?

Me: Yeah. I just had too much on my mind.

She looked concerned.

Ro: What's this all about?

Me: When Kayo called, I guess it reopened that wound for me. I couldn't stop thinking about what happened with me, my mom, and CJ.

Ro: What happened?

Me: Our relationship was ruined because of the way mom acted and that could've been avoided.

Ro: That's in the past tho. You have Dalvin now.

Me: Eh...

She shook her head.

Me: Im going to sleep. See you in the morning.

Ro: Okay.

That remaining week, things never really went back to normal. Sometimes I'd get down and Ro or Lisa or Dalvin would constantly be asking me if I'm okay, and I'm not one to enjoy getting all that attention. I know this seems crazy, but ever since Kayo called, I just haven't been into Dalvin. I don't know.. He's been caring and all, but I don't even feel like being in a relationship. I called Dalvin over and of course he came. He sat next to me and pulled me in his arms.

Dalvin: Wassup? You cool?

Me: I'm fine Dalvin. I just wanted to talk to you.

Dalvin: Oh lord. Talk about what?

Me: I just been feeling like maybe I don't need to be in a relationship right now.

Dalvin: Oh I see.

Me: I mean, we can still talk, but not on the level we do now.

Dalvin: So your breaking up with me. But you still want to be my friend.

Me: I guess you could say that.

Dalvin: That's cool by me, but you know I still can't resist you.

He said, kissing me.

Me: Come on Dalvin. I'm serious.

I said laughing.

Dalvin: Ok ok. One last kiss tho.

I rolled my eyes and then I kissed him.

Dalvin: Ok I'm good now.

Lisa: Did you know CJ?

Me: No.

Lisa: Hm. Whoever he is, it's really got Tee down.

Me: I know. She even broke up with Dalvin.

Lisa: Guess CJ was a better boyfriend.

Me: I don't know, but there must've been a reason Mama Gayle didn't like him.

Lisa: I don't know. Maybe he sold drugs.

Me: Maybe he did.

Tee: Who sold drugs?

She said walking in the living room.

Lisa and me: No one.

She shrugged and started playing the video game. We'd figure it out eventually.
