My Opinion on Logan Paul

(Rant)

Ohh some of you know what I'm talking about.

Recently the "YouTuber" Logan Paul posted a horrible video on YouTube. Now I don't really refer to him as a YouTuber because all he and his brother do is manipulate their impressionable watchers by acting cool and savage or whatever the heck.

Now I'd just like to make it very clear that I despise, with a passion, both of them.

But they never did anything too bad. They were annoying and caused drama and gosh I feel horrible for anyone who lives near them or has to deal with them, but they didn't really hurt too many people.

But oh boy oh boY Logan's last video.

Basically he was in Japan, and visited a forest there that's been nicknamed the Suicide Forest. You can guess why it's called that. (It's also, from what I've heard, a restricted area.)

So he and his friends walked in there. And if you see anyone say that they walked in there unsuspecting, they're lying. Logan walked in there with very clear intentions. And one of those intentions was to bring in views.

What happened was they found a dead body. Yes. Someone had committed suicide and Logan filmed it.

A reasonable, morally correct person would turn the camera off and call the police.

Logan and his friends filmed it and not only that, but they kept it in editing, and continued to upload it to YouTube.

They disgust me.

And it's not really them that I'm disappointed with. Sure they did it and everything but it's YouTube that kept the video.

No restrictions or anything. When someone else tried to re-upload and archive the video, YouTube blocked it. But when Logan Paul uploads it, and brings in all that add revenue? What does YouTube do? They put him on trending.

People on YouTube who are posting videos about it, saying that Logan Paul messed up, their videos are being taken down.

YouTube is actually doing this.

Logan also posted an apology video today.

Let me remind you: Logan is an actor. He's an actual actor. I don't trust his apology for one second. It was extremely short to properly address what he did, I doubt he understands what he actually did.
Also looking at it closely I don't think his eyes are actually meeting the camera. It wouldn't be the first scripted apology I've seen.

So help me if he uploads a happy-go-lucky vlog tomorrow I'm going to evolve into my final form and start screaming rational accusations in his comment section because people need to understand.

Apologizing doesn't make what he did okay.

If a murderer apologizes that doesn't make it okay. It's the same concept, albeit at two different extremes.

And people in the YouTube comments are saying that it's a dead body so it doesn't matter. Or oh he faked it all so it's okay. Those are idiotic responses.

The worst part is that his audience is younger. They're impressionable. (Not to be mean to them but it's true.) And they've been subjected to something horrible and their supporting it because he's "sorry."

He's sorry he might lose money from it. Oh wait no he's getting money from it that's right.

I don't care if he's sorry.

What he did was sick, disgusting, wrong, and he needs to be removed from YouTube. At the very least YouTube needs to step in and monitor him better and maybe remove some monetization on his videos.
He shouldn't be allowed to do that and get away with it. No one should.
