Mace's P.O.V

"What the fuck do you mean!" I screamed the anger boiling inside me. The rage flowing freely through my veins.

"S-sir the pictures  you sent in a year ago they came back, it turns out your wife never cheated." My scrawny personal assistant squeaked out.

"Get out. Also cancel all my meeting for today, I'll be leaving early today."

"Yes sir."

Staring back at the large yellow envelope I now know that the pictures that haunted me where never real. I cant help but feel baffled all this time I've hated the one woman who has never done anything wrong to me. Emma my sweet, angelic, beautiful Emma never cheated. My heart feels like it's being squeezed just like that night. Thinking back the the memory of her tear stricken face and her trying to tell me that she never cheated was clear as day in my mind. What hurts the most is instead of her putting up a fight about signing the divorce papers, she asked me if that's what I really wanted because all she wanted was for me to happy. She has always been selfless, one of the few things I disliked about her. Emma would let people walk all over her if that would make them happy. She never cared about herself it was always the other people. Now I was the one of the people that hurt her.  The way she looked so broken that night has been haunting me but I would always call a girl to wipe away the memories.

I need to call Issac my brother he's always been good at pulling up information on people. Dialing his number I wait for him to pick up.
"Hello brother dearest!" Issac screams in my ear.

"Someones happy today." I state, he's usually never this happy unless it involves food.

"Well I wouldn't say happy but thrilled about eating pancakes."

"I hate to ruin your mood but I need you to pull up all the information you can on Emma."

"Why do you want information on that bitch." His tone now filled with disgust.

"Just gather the things you can and meet me at the usual place." I don't wait for his answer before I hang up the phone.

Pulling into the parking lot and parking in a parking place, I shut the car off. I rest my head on the cool steering wheel. I'm scared that Emma has moved on. I want to try to win her heart back even if she has moved on I will be able to move on knowing my angel is doing okay. Stepping out of the car I make my way towards the restaurant. I look around the parking lot and sure enough I recognize Isacc's car. I don't really care about the rain beating down on me. Opening the front door i'm met with the amazing smell of fried food. Looking down the rows of booths I see Isacc stuffing his face with pancakes. I walk towards him, I reach the table and he finally looks up at me.

"Oh hey bro."

"Please for everyone's sake don't talk with your mouth full." He doesn't reply but sends me a deathly glare.

"Alright whats the information on Emma?"

"First you have to tell why you want to know about Emma." He says shuffling the papers in his hands.

"The investigators finally figured out that Emma never cheated...I-I really don't know what to do." The look of shock that crosses his face tells me he's not going to have any idea either. I watch as tears start to well up in his eyes, Emma and Isacc where inseparable  he hated her just as much as I did when he saw the pictures.

Clearing his throat he begins to say the information i've been waiting on. " Well she never left New York; she didn't even move that far away from you. You know that trashy and ruff looking apartment complex a couple miles away from your penthouse."

"Yeah i've been trying to get them to tear that place down for months it makes the whole city look like trash."

"Well that's where she's living."

"What?...I gave her fifty thousand dollars to keep her on her feet I'm not that cruel of a person."

"She gave all the money to an orphanage, she never took the money ." It all makes sense considering she came from an orphanage she went there as a baby and didn't leave until she was of age Emma was never once adopted.   "Fuck man, what else is there?"

"Well she hasn't been with anyone else since you kicked her out. She's close to broke but still has her head above water. Emma has an art studio where she sells her paintings." A breath of relief leaves my body at the mention of her not being with anyone since me.

"I couldn't find out much, it's like she went of the charts."

"That's okay I found out what I wanted, I just can't believe the way I acted towards her. All because of me Emma is in a dark place."

"Look Mace you can't sit here and blame yourself for the way you acted. We all thought that Emma cheated there was pictures saying that she did but we just now found out that the pictures where fake." Isacc say's sincerity coating every word.

Out of no where I hear Bill the owner yell "Emma violet, My two favorite girls!"

The name Emma echoed through my head. I snapped my head up fast I'm pretty sure I have whiplash. Sure enough there Emma stood in all her glory. How ever something looked different about her. Dark bags hung low under her eyes she looked like she lost even more weight. She didn't need to considering that when we where together I always tried to get her to eat more because she never ate anything. However what confused me the most is the baby resting on her hip. She talked with the owner for awhile before she turned my way. Her eyes immediately found mine and her whole face paled.

I know I left ya'll hanging again but updates will come sooner now. I was just very busy and I just want to thank all my amazing readers for reading my book. Love Ya'll!
