Emma sat on the couch, her head in her hands, 'Why... life was going great... I had a friend, a purpose to try in life... now this,'. Tears rolled off her cheeks, 'I can't do anything to help Joyce... she won't leave... there's no way I can carry her... what am I going to do... Should I leave and find help? No... they would kill her before I got back...'.
''Meal number two~'' Harlock sang, ''Elias is awake, and he wants to speak to you, be careful, he seems hungry,'' he snickered.
Emma wiped her tears, ''don't talk to me,'' she told him coldly, ''don't touch Joyce, don't even think about her, you bastard,'' she got up, angrily making her way back upstairs, passing by the stunned vampire.
''Mm... she's really teasing me, she may act like she hates me, but she knows she wants me,'' he smirked, licking his lips, ''I can't wait,''.
--
Emma knocked on the door, ''Elias, it's me, can I come in?".
''Uh yeah,'' he replied as he finished buttoning up his shirt.
Emma walked in and stood next to the bed, ''oh you changed? You're feeling better?" she asked as she looked him over.
He nodded, ''yeah, my clothes smelled sweaty, so I wanted to change. Thank you for helping me by the way...,'' he paused, ''did I by chance... do anything to you... I can't really remember much, it's all fuzzy at the moment...''.
A replay of Elias licking her neck flashed through Emma's mind, her cheeks flushed red, ''u-um no you didn't!'' she quickly answered. ''I'm glad your feeling better, if you'll excuse me I have a lot to think about...'' she sighed, heading to the door.
Elias, without thinking, grabbed her hand, ''wait, do you want to talk about it?'' he asked sincerely, ''maybe it's something I can help with, I owe you for helping me...'' he looked at her, her cheeks still red, she was staring at their interlocked hands, he quickly let go, his cheeks just as red as hers. ''I um, I'll listen and try to help... give me a chance?'' he pleaded.
Emma sighed, ''there's nothing you can do... you and the other one are the reason to begin with... and Joyce... she thinks Harlock loves her... so she refuses to leave. My life is falling apart, I'm getting to the point where I could careless if you or Harlock killed me,'' she ranted, ''I just wish, that I would have died with my family, or if I never met her, then Joyce wouldn't be here now,'' tears began to fall, ''I don't even know why I wanted to make sure you're okay, your kind ruined my life, yet I was worried about you, can you believe that? Me, worried about a vampire who kidnapped me, how pathetic am I?" she asked, tears rolling down her face, ''Why are we even alive now?! You guys should have killed us when you first brought us here, we're just trapped here, and so are you! Just kill us and get it over with I'm tired of trying to fix my life when it just crumbles every chance it gets,''.
Elias stood in shock, he never once considered what they were doing was wrong. He didn't want to go against what Harlock said, he was his only friend, and the only one he could ever turn to. Harlock was the only one who helped him cope with being a vampire, even if he did tease him about not drinking human blood, he was a thousand times better than the guys he was supposed to consider his brothers. ''I'm sorry... truly sorry...I really am a heartless vampire...'' he apologized, realizing that he was no better than Alice and the rest of them. '' I won't let him kill you...'' he looked down at the sobbing girl, ''can you give me a chance to fix this... I can help you and your friend... just stop crying... please...'' he frowned, disappointed in himself, he sighed, walking up to Emma, embracing her. ''I feel like a complete asshole... I didn't think about anything, just what Harlock wanted... I'm sorry Emma... about taking you, about your friend, about everything...'' he whispered to her, he bit into his lip controlling himself from all the urges that were telling him to take advantage of the situation.
