Yugi's POV

I couldn't believe it. I just couldn't believe that my friends, people who had helped me through my time of suffering and pain could just do that. Say something like that.

Flashback a couple hours earlier~

Yami, who I was happily dating for six months, told me he was going out with the gang. I wanted to come, but I needed to finish this project I was working on, so I told him I wasn't coming. I saw some unknown emotion flash through his eyes. I didn't really question it as I thought he was sad that I want going with him. How wrong I was.

Four hours after Yami left, I finished my project.

"Mmmm!" I groaned as I stretched out my body, which was sore from sitting down for too long. I looked at the clock and it read 6:00 pm. I thought that's odd as Yami would be back by now. I remember Yami mentioning that they were going to Domino Park as their last stop. I put on a jacket and rush to the park. Once I get there, I see my friends and Yami hanging out. I was about to call out to them when I heard my name being called. I decide to stay hidden and listen on.

"What is it, Jou?" asked Yami.

"Like I said, when are you going to break up with Yugi? I'm tired of putting on this 'friend act'."

I froze, not believing what I was hearing. I hid in the bushes and parted some leaves so that I could see them at least partially. Tears threaten to spill from my eyes as I see my Yami hugging Anzu's waist while kissing her a bit. I don't know what was in me to keep listening, but I did.

"Hmmm...I guess it was going to be in a month or so?" said Yami, snuggling close to Anzu.

"That's great news, Yamikins!" giggled Anzu. "I was honestly tired of seeing that wimp hangin around you."

"Yeah." agreed Yami as my heart broke to pieces. "Phew~ it was nice while it lasted. Who can't wait to see the look on his face when I break his heart?" Yami smirked evilly.

"I am!!!" yelled Honda, Anzu and Jounouchi.

"So, Yamikins, want to stay over at my place?" asked Anzu.

"Sure. I'll think up of an excuse to tell Yugi."

"Okay."

I heard their laughter and I couldn't take it anymore. I silently got up and ran back to my house. Once I got there, everything spilled out. I broke down and started crying. I couldn't believe, no, I didn't want to believe that they would do that.

Flashback End~

I suddenly stand up with a new determination. I'm leaving this place. I think. Domino City has only held memories of sorrow. I thought it would be better when I had the gang and Yami, but.....now it doesn't matter anymore.
