The Dark Knights

Ryou's POV

When I saw how broken my friend was, I boiled with anger. I looked at the others and we all nodded our heads in agreement. If we ever see those bastards, they will rue the day they harmed our little brother.

From that day on, we accepted Yugi as our little brother and protected him from all dangers. I was so happy that we all became best friends with Yugi and that we learned how Yugi was our little angel. We were lucky that Yugi had a class with at least one of us, because then we could protect him. We really had to protect him because of the girls who looked at Yugi like he was some delicious dish and some of the boys who looked at Yugi with lustful gazes. Every time we walked down the halls with Yugi, you could see us hanging around him with a dangerous aura. We did this for a week, and that's when we were dubbed, The Dark Knights. We got that from this one incident when I left Yugi alone.

Flashback~

It was my turn to guard Yugi, but I had to go to the bathroom. Bad.

"Yugi, I gotta go to the toilet. Could you wait outside for a few minutes?"

"Okay." Yugi complied as he gave me a bright, innocent smile that lit up the room. I could hear the girls faint in the background and the boys glancing this way. I felt worried that I would leave Yugi here, but the bathroom was just around the corner, so I thought it would be fine. It. Was. Not. A few minutes later, I came out of the bathroom.

"Yugi? I'm done, let's g—" I stop dead in my tracks as I see Yugi being pressed up against a wall and about to be kissed. The boy was struggling but the guy holding him down was stronger.

"Ha! Your knight isn't here anymore. Who will protect you now?"

Yugi started to tear up as he fought bravely to keep the guy away.

I chuckled darkly. "What the hell do you think you're doing, mister?"

A dark aura could be seen around my body as the guy backed away in fear he was about to turn tail and run when he saw Malik, Marik, and Kura (Bakura) also walk into the scene with similar dark auras, blocking the poor guy's escape routes.

I could practically hear everyone think. 'Shit, that guy is dead. We better run.'

And so they did when one of the students suddenly yelled out, "The Dark Knights are here to protect their princess! RUN!!"

The princess was of course, Yugi. As the area cleared, all that was left was a relieved Yugi and a frightened male student.

"Yugi, come here." Malik said in a sweet voice.

Yugi nodded cutely and hugged Malik. I swear I saw a mischievous glint in Yugi's eyes as he turned to Malik and pretended to cry.

"...*sniff*...Malik, he....he...tried to kiss me! I was.... so scared!!....*sniff*..." Malik handed Yugi to me as he, Marik, and Kura tortur— let's just say that that student wouldn't go near Yugi again. Or any other student for that matter.

"Yugi, you did that on purpose, right?" I asked as Yugi looked in amusement at the 'fun' the guy who tried to kiss him was partaking in.

"Yeah, I did. It was so funny to see though."

I sweat-dropped. "Yugi, your cuteness is a dangerous weapon."

"Really?" He tilted his head to a side cutely and I couldn't resist the urge to hug him.

After the 'fun' was over, Marik, Malik, and Kura all hugged our precious brother as we made our way to class. The guy we had 'fun' with, forgotten.

Flashback End~

We went to the Game Shop where Yugi lived and met his Grandpa, an extremely nice person. From him, we learned that Yugi got a part-time job, so we started to help out too. Protecting Yugi in school and helping him out with his part-time job became a part of our daily routine.
