Back at pine hollow, Stevie and Carol had just gotten back from their lesson and they were cleaning their tack.
Stevie couldn't concentrate on anything, her mind was only set on all the problems that's where going on in her life just now. Of course her best friend being in hospital was a much bigger problem than a fall out with her boyfriend but she couldn't stop thinking about it, and the more she thought about it, she started to realise that it was her own fault.
" Stevie, snap out of it, I'm not cleaning all this on my own!" She said as Stevie picked up the cloth and spray and started working on her saddle.
" why am I finding reasons to blame other people when it's actually my fault ?" Stevie blurred out as carol stopped what she was doing and turned to her.
" what do you mean?" Carol asked Stevie.
" Phil, he never asked me or told me to come after him but I did anyway because I'm selfish when I knew my best friend was not thinking straight. I need to get my priorities right Carole," Stevie said a lightly banging her head on the wall.
" Stevie calm down, your totally overthinking. You or Phil have done nothing wrong, sometimes horrible things happen in life that you can't fix, as much as it is annoying it can't be helped and There's no point in beating yourself up over it or hurting Phil by ignoring him," Carol walked up to Stevie and put her arms round her as Stevie rested her head on Carole's shoulder,
" your right, thanks Carole, I'm gonna phone Phil tonight!"
Carole smiled, things where starting to look up for her best friends, Lisa was making a small but steady recovery and Stevie was finally beginning to stress a little less, she just wanted things to be back to normal, and the sooner the Better.
Stevie and Carol both grabbed their grooming kits and headed over to belle and starlights stalls until they saw red leaning on prancer stall door, he looked drained and shattered.
" hey red," Carole said softly as her and Stevie walked up to him as he jumped a bit.
" oh hey guys, do you need anything? I was just taking a break," he said looking at prancer with his back tuned from Stevie and Carol.
" yeah we need you to chill, we went to go see her this morning and trust me she was amazing, she looked a lot better and she was smiling and laughing," Stevie said attempting to cheer him up.
A big smile appeared on reds face, " that's so good, I just can't wait to see her, I'm just feeling a bit down without her today. Don't worry about me!" He said pulling a carrot out his pocket and giving it to prancer as she chewed away, " worry about prancer, think she's been feeling as low as me lately without her."
Carol and Stevie look at prancer, she looked like she had no energy to do anything, " Lisa was asking for her today, you can tell how much they miss each other," Carol frowned.
