Been so busy with University work, sorry guys. But I got 96% on my Japanese language test so something to celebrate. Anyway, here's part 6, sorry that it isn't the best, been so busy.

L had been moved into a different room, one closer to Light's own chambers, according to Light it was because it made it easier for him to speak to him when need be, but L knew the truth. Light thought L needed to be protected and believed him to be safer if he was closer to him.
L simply shrugged it off however, but he knew that this would cause the guards further annoyance and his strength wasn't enough. L wasn't weak but compared to a trained vampire guard he was a mere child up against a lion.
He examined the room and noticed that it was slightly more luxurious than his original room. This one had a mattress on the floor with pillows and a blanket.
In the corner of the room was a desk up against the walls and L shook his head at its placement, moving to pull the chair away.
He then moved to push the desk, only to realise the weight of the piece of furniture when he barely moved it an inch.
"Do you like the new room?"
Matsuda, perfect!
L turned around to the vampire and pointed at him with a single, slender finger. He then pointed to the desk.
"It's not in the correct position, it should be in the centre"
Matsuda blinked a few times "The centre?"
"I can't concentrate if the desk is in the wrong position" L said, attempting to shift the surprisingly heavy object once again.
"Matsuda, move it to the centre"
Once again Matsuda had to blink away his disbelief. "You can't order me around, you're a slave and I'm a vampire!"
"Move the desk"
Matsuda managed to shift the desk into the correct spot with L's supervision, being forced to move it again if L felt it was an inch or so off from the perfect place.
Soon a laugh filled the room and L turned his head slightly to see Light standing in the door way with armfuls of books, moving to set them onto the desk.
"You really are something, L" he said, shaking his head and attempting to get rid of the smile on his face.
"The desk was in the wrong place" L responded, picking up one of the books and flicking through the pages.
Matsuda rubbed at his arms, moving towards the prince "He's a weird humans, your highness. He acts like our roles are reversed!"
"You didn't have to do what he told you to, Matsuda"
"He's really persuasive, you gives you this look and next thing you know you're doing what he wants you to"
Light shook his head, moving to set the books down on L's desk, watching as L went to organise them so they'd be set up in the perfect order for him to read them.
"You're easily manipulated" Light told Matsuda.
"Actually," came L's voice. "Humans are incredibly manipulative, not all and some do not do it intentionally. Historically humans were masters of manipulation, until your kind took control of the food chain"
The two vampires turned their heads to look over at the human, he hadn't looked at them, he was focussed on the books and seemed uninterested in their presence.
"You can't back talk a prince!"
"He can," Light sighed. "He doesn't follow rules like normal humans do"
"I don't see much reason in doing something that doesn't interest me and the worst that can happen is being killed" L explained, turning now to look at the two, hair falling over his face.
Light sighed, moving to push L's hair behind his ears. L flinched slightly as Light's hand got close and Light gritted his teeth. Of course, he'd flinch, he hadn't had the best experiences with vampires in the past and L wasn't comfortable with physical contact anyway.
"You really need to bathe" Light let out, looking down at his hand before moving to wipe it on Matsuda's shirt, the other man slumping his shoulders as he sighed.
"Why did you move me into a new room?" L asked, completely ignoring Light's comment, much to Matsuda's disgust.
Light was sure he'd get used to L's behaviour eventually. L didn't seem to mean to offend anyone, he simply struggled with communication.
"It's easier if you're in a closer room to me"
"The guards will suspect favouritism" L responded.
"Don't fear the guards"
"I'm not afraid of them"
Matsuda was stood in front of the two, his head moving back and fore as each man spoke, it was like watching a tennis match. He was amazed by the attitude L had towards Light and the reaction that Light had to him. How was Light so easy going about this?
Could Matsuda do that too?
"Hey, Light-"
L and Light both paused, turning their heads to look at the young vampire who was now frozen in fear.
"Learn your place, Matsuda" said Light.
"That is rather disrespectful you know" said L.
Matsuda stared at his feet, his lip trembling as he dug his fingers into his palms.
"S-Sorry!"
"It pays to think before you speak" Light remarked as Matsuda fled from the room.
Light shook his head and looked back to L "Sorry about touching your fair, you seemed kind of uncomfortable about it"
L nodded "Physical contact makes me uncomfortable, unless I feel a connection to the person in question I tend to avoid a physical touch"
Light nodded at L's explanation.
"Which is why the abuse from the guards is quite distressing, it's not the actual beating but the act of being touched without permission"
Light nodded, gritting his teeth again as he went to sit on the bed L had been given but L waved his hands at him, shaking his head.
"Don't sit there, if someone else sits there before I do I won't be able to set it to my preferred position"
Light had never heard that logic before but he decided it was best not to start an argument about the subject.
A perfectionist, sounds like you.
Light forced himself to ignore Kira, he didn't have time to allow the voice to catch his attention, Kira was dangerous and he was getting louder, he was shouting.
Take him. Take him. Take him.
Light gritted his teeth, stepping backwards towards the door, shaking his head. He leaned against the door frame as he made his way towards the exit.
"If the guards do anything again, tell me, I'll deal with them"
"A pointless course of action" L commented with a shake of his head.

Light had returned to his room after that, slumping onto his bed with his head resting against the wall.
He didn't understand L, L didn't want help or support from anyone, which he could understand, Light was a proud man himself. What he didn't understand however was why L seemed to simply put up with this abuse.
Was L scared of being killed? No, that didn't seem quite right, L didn't seem to show much interest in the protection of his own life.
Was he afraid of being fed from? Would the guards stoop so low as to break the laws simply to hurt a slave that they weren't fond of?
Light sat there for a moment, thinking about the idea of L being afraid of being fed from. Of course, a human would fear it, but it could be quite pleasurable if done properly, maybe if someone specific did it then L would enjoy it?
The prince had to shake off the thought, ignoring the images filling his mind, L leaning against his chest as his lips caressed at that pale, slender neck. His arms would be wrapped around that small waist, keeping him steady, keeping him calm.
He shook his head again, hiding his face in his hands.
That was a bizarre image and it wasn't one that he desired or chose to summon.
You could take him. Pin him down. He wouldn't put up much of a fight, he's too flimsy. Kira was whispering into Light's mind again, his words connected with bizarre images that matched his description.
His blood will be so sweet, he'd hate it, he'd be terrified, but it'll only make him taste all the sweeter.
"Shut up" Light snarled, his hands moving to his ears in a subconscious and fruitless effort to silence the intrusive voice.
Force him, push him down, you want him.
"No!"
Make him one of us.
"No!"
Then I'll do it myself.
