The mall's rooftop has always been a place for the both of them to hang out, at least since she came into his life... They loved to sit there, under the century-old Montezuma cypress tree all night long, enjoying the view of the Winter Triangle which is quite possibly can't be viewed anywhere else...

"Is it just me or the sun is refusing to come out?" he suddenly spoke up, breaking the silence.

"What?" she asked him.

"It's almost 6 a.m. but there's not even a single ray from the Mighty Ball!" he opened up what has been kept up in his mind for the last two hours, which seemed like two days.

"Geez, relax dude. It's not like such thing's gonna happen. If the sun doesn't rise, it would mean that the Earth's rotation has stopp-..."

"Maybe the Earth really has stopped rotating!!! Gaahhh!!! I knew it! The end is near!!!!"

"Dude, if it really does, then tell me why the freaking moon has moved from the East to the West in the last 6 hours." calmly, she assure her paranoid mate that nothing's going to happen.

"And it's not like I know nothing about the Signs of the Apocalypse..." she mumbled, but loud enough to be heard by him.

He recalled what happened a week ago. For the first time, he got out of his shelter, the mall, after locking himself up there all year long, hoping for the war to pass. He was trying to search for food. As he was trying to cross the road to get to the nearby mall, he found her lying on the middle of the road, naked. Surprisingly, her body was not covered in even a single peck of dust from the Wasteland Planet, which brought him to an explanation on his own which is she just got here. But how? There was no other footsteps there other than his own. He then walked towards her to check her out. The first thing that caught up his mind was her ANGELIC face. He tried to her up but his hand was electrified everytime it gets closer to her. But then, his eyes were caught on something...unusual; the presence of the two parallel scars on her back with the backbone as the border between the two.

"G-Girl...Can I ask you a question?" he asked her.

"What is it?" she then repositioned herself from lying down to sitting down, leaning to the cypress. He did the same.

"Urmm...Did...God-.."

She stared at him. "I told you about my biggest pet peeve, didn't I?"

"Yea...But-..."

"IF YOU MENTION HIS FUCKING NAME AGAIN I SWEAR THAT I'LL FUCKING SLICE YOUR TONGUE IN HALF AND USE THE REMAINI-..."

"OKAY! OKAY! i GET IT!!!"

After about 30 seconds of silence, the both of them has settled down.

"Girl, don't get me wrong..."

She showed no interest but he continued the question anyway.

"...but...why haven't you at least tell me even one thing about where you come from? I know that it's only been roughly one week...but we've kinda grown trust on each other, haven't we? Did you remember that day where I almost got killed because of you? You even thanked me with loveably friendly face. We've kinda become friends now, right? Telling something about your past won't hurt. Trust me."

She looked at him. Her face indicated that she was battling with her mind to decide on whether she should tell him or not.

"I..." she was starting to say something.

He has grown some interest to hear her response.

"I...kinda got hungry... We still got some food, right?"

"Maybe not now... But sooner or later you'll eventually tell me... It's okay girl..." he thought to himself.

And then he replied, "I think so. Maybe we still got something left in the fridge."

She replied with a smile.
