After what seemed like hours of dragging the two lifeless bodies of my ex-roommates, I finally managed to bring them to the center of the church, even with my thin, skinny arms. I then lied down beside Mark, watched by the statue of the Messiah. I looked at the statue and thought to myself whether she'll be forgiven for the havoc she had created among my roommates' lives. I looked at my bloodstained arms and then got up.
"Not yet," I told myself. I still have a long way to go before joining them.
I kissed the both of them on the lips and then wore my hoodie, covering my bloodstained white shirt out of anyone's vision. I ran towards the exit door to get out of the holy building. When I did so, I stopped to take a last glance at the place I once called life; Adharaa High School. The half-collapsed building, along with the sudden hear of thunder made melancholy sunk into my heart. All those memories of the laughters, and mishaps, and the ogling on the same crushes done by us, roommates made me smile all by myself there. I took out my pocket knife and put it exactly on my wrist.
"Not yet, Zim...." I reminded myself.
The first drop of rain touched my hair lightly, which was then followed by a march of cold droplets falling from the sky, hiting every part of my body. I put my hood up and began walking by the road, hoping for a transport to pop up and take me on in the name of mercy.
About 10 minutes later, after experiencing the most nihilistic walk all my life, a van was on my sight. I showed the thumbs up signal and as the van came near me, it stopped. The driver's window was pulled down.
"You need a ride, bro?" the driver asked me.
I nodded.
"Hop on" he told me.
I thanked him while wiping my eyes.
I went inside and looked around. The first face coming catching my attention was the devillish blonde Asian girl, Park Jihyo. I threw a smirk on her, regardless of any response. She acted like I'm a stranger to her. I let her be. As the first two rows were taken by people who were busy joking around each other, I took my place at the last row, at the back of the van. I ignored them, (just like what they did to me) by lying my head at the window and just looking outside the window as the van moved. The driver introduced the passengers' name to me. The driver's Vince; the cold one next to him is Ryan; the three people on the first passenger row are Kurt, Quentin, and Renai: while the last three people are Jean, Bryan and Jihyo.
"And you are?" the driver asked me.
"Uh... I'm Zim"
Jihyo, who was sitting in front of me suddenly got choked by her cola. Her friends got all concerned about her, but she told them that she's fine. I just smirked without her seeing.
"That's a cool name, you know?" the driver blurt out his thought.
"Huh" i gave a perfunctory response and then continued looking outside the window.
The world is now a weird place, at least in my opinion. People just do radical things just to satisfy their illogical needs. A boy, presumably 12, was busy vandalizing the bus station by spraying the floor with a caricature of a serpent biting its own tail, just to prove that his love to her 'girlfriend' is endless. What the shuck is wrong with that gullible mind of his? No love is infinite. People meet, show affection on each other, mate and then leave. How is love endless, kiddo? But thinking back, what does a 12 year old knows about? He's still immature. Wait, why does this sound familiar? Shuck,shuck,shuck,shuck....That matter's over, Zim! MOVE ON!!!
I felt a hug coming from my left. My mind was back in the van, in a long, boring ride. I then looked at the source of the hug. It appears that a petite redhead was hugging me tightly.
