"That bomb's going to go sky-high on your headquarters!" laughed Harvey. Commissioner Yindel pointed her gun at Harvey and shot him point-blank in the skull.
The lone mercenary then pushed the red button on the trigger controls. A police officer shot the mercenary in the heart one second too late. Dent's ultimate plan for ransom was a victory.
BOOM!!!!!! The GCPD headquarters exploded from beneath. The entire building caught aflame immediately. The destruction was tremendously huge and fiery.
Bruce and Gordon collapsed to the ground, as everything around them was burning. "Ah fuck!" Bruce yelled. He coughed up blood, screaming in agonizing pain. Parts of his jacket and shirt were burning up.
Gordon was not breathing on the floor. Bruce crawled helplessly to Gordon's body and tried to wake him up. "OH GOD, I'M SO SORRY!! GORDON WAKE UP!!" Bruce screamed in tears.
He didn't want to lose his only friend left. Gordon was indeed the last connection to his family. He didn't want to have another loss. It was enough.
Bruce coughed more, using the remains of his scorched jacket to breathe the last of the oxygen. He then used his strength to lift Gordon off the ground. The old man was burned severely all over his face and body. Bruce felt so much pain everywhere in his aging body.
Back at the lair, Commissioner Yindel and the GCPD turned around to see their headquarters in the background on fire. "Go go go!! James Gordon is in there!!" she yelled to the police.
They got into their vehicles and drove back to their GCPD headquarters to rush to the scene. In the destroyed burning building, Bruce knew he needed to evacuate with Gordon quickly.
He cracked open a window and used his strength to try to lift Gordon's body out of the window. Gordon slid out of the window and landed softly in the grass outside.
The rooms were engulfed into bigger and deadlier flames as Bruce tried to climb out of the window. The fire then exploded again, sending Bruce outside onto the street. A trail of blood was lead behind him.
"HELP!!! OH GOD HELP!!!" Bruce screamed. He almost passed out. Gordon woke up, sobbing in pain. "B-B-B-Bruce?!" he tried to say.
Commissioner Yindel and the police cars arrived. They called up the paramedics and ambulances. "We also have the millionaire Bruce Wayne as a victim!!" Yindel told the officials. She felt extremely sad and full of grief.
She approached Gordon, crying. "I never should have left you...I don't know if I can do this as commissioner," she whispered to herself. Gordon heard her, but didn't say anything.
The paramedics arrived after a few minutes and carried Bruce and Gordon each on a stretcher. Carrie was told of the news by Commissioner Yindel on the phone. The night was a disaster.
