-Shiro's POV-

I was running as fast as I could. When I finally saw the site.

"Shhhhhhiirrrooooooo!!!" A voice sobbed.

"Lance! Lance I'm here! I'm coming to get you!" I yelled as I frantically ran around the building.

"Shiro? Shiro!" Lance frantically called out.

There. I ran into the room and at the center of it was a stone coffin. My heart stopped beating and a red haze clouded my vision. I was charging at the coffin before I even knew it. I pushed the lid off and there he was.

A shaking, panicked, duck taped, Cuban that meant everything to me.

"Lance! Baby, let's get you out of there."

"Shiro?" A hoarse whisper came out.

"Not so fast." A voice called out.

Ate. Why is she here?

"I thought we were on good terms, Ate." I yelled back as I lift Lance out of the coffin and held him bridal style.

"I go by Allura now." She corrected.

"Well, Allura, Goddess of Mischief, Delusion, and Ruin. To what do I owe this pleasure?" I bite out. Lance was trembling in my grip and his face was scrunched up in pain.

We need to leave. He needs to get out of here. Ate stood in the doorway her long white hair cascaded around her tan and beautiful face.

"Well, Erebos, God of Darkness, I guess the rumors are true. You've sullied yourself with these mortals. Even have one for yourself. I'm just here to let you know Shiro. Your boy there has a hit on him. And all the Gods and Goddesses who hate you, practically everyone, wants to toy with your mortal. They know your weakness." Allura finished.

"They know my strength. Tell them. Tell them all. If they even dare to harm my mortal, they will be declaring war against me."

"Scary." Allura mocked.

I summoned the shadows around us and they began to dance around Lance and I.

"It's best to remember that everybody is scared of the dark." And we teleported away.

-Lance's POV-

My body was on fire. The walls of the coffin surrounding me pushed further together. I couldn't breathe. I couldn't get enough air.

Please...Shiro, come save me already.

I felt like I could breathe again and a new kind of warmth wrapped around me.

"...let's get you out of there..." I heard a voice say.

"Shiro." I whispered.

He's here. He came for me.

I woke up in an open field. The sky fresh and the few clouds I could see had a pink hue to them. It's morning. I thought.

Wait.

I bolt up. Where am I? How'd I get here? What's going on? A heavy weight set on my shoulders and I looked up to see Shiro.

"Kashi?" My voice was nothing but a whisper.

He really did save me. It wasn't a dream.

"It's me Kitten. I...I am so, so sorry. Lance this is all my fault and it got you hurt."

"You came for me. You really came." Shock must have been apparent on my face because Shiro was taken back.

"Of course! Of course I would come for you. You mean the world to me and I would go to Pluto and back just to make sure you're safe!"

"Just to Pluto?" I joked.

"Sorry I meant Hell. Or Hades. Or Tartarus. Or whatever you want to call it." Shiro smiled back.

We sat together. Just him holding me and us sitting together in silence.

"Shiro?" I hesitantly ask.

"Yes?"

"Thank you. Thank you for coming to save me. Thank you for being there. Thank you for having me wake up in an open field. Thank you for knowing that I would have freaked if I didn't. Thank you for knowing me. Thank you-" I babbled.

"Lance no," Shiro cut me off, "I don't deserve your thanks since I'm responsible for putting you in such danger. Lance...Lance I don't know how to put this, so I'll just say it. I am a God. Erebos, God of Darkness, to be exact. You were kidnapped by the other gods and a way to get back at me. The other gods are, well pissed, that I am dating a mortal and that I keep up this mortal appearance.
