Chapter 18

Arabella's POV

*3 months later*

Its been 3 months since my engagement to Xavier has been publicised, and it has been one of the best three months of our lives. Especially at work, you wouldn't think it, however everyone is so nice to me. And loves just to talk about everyday stuff, and not push me on any details about our wedding.

"Doctor Charlwood, you have a visitor." A nurse came up to me, pulling my attention away from the computer. I have asked still to be known as doctor as I have worked so hard to get that title, and I can be princess any other day.

"Um who is it?" I question her, seeing if I deem it reasonable to leave my work.

"Well, it is the prince, your fiancé." She said, catching my attention.

"Oh, okay, can you send him through to me please?" I asked, knowing that he can.

"Sure, I'll direct him to you." She said turning away to walk towards the reception.

"Hello, would you be able to direct me towards my beautiful fiancé?" I heard a very familiar voice say, his breath tickled on my ears.

"Well, I think if you go to the palace, and wait 4 hours. She may just turn up." I turned around teasing him.

"Well, I couldn't wait for my princess, and she did tell me that she has to work. But I thought I'd come and surprise her with my presence. Now do you know where she is?" He teased back.

"Well, I think you may find her around here." I said turning around, going to carry on with my work. Suddenly then I was spun around, letting out a small squeal. I turned to look Xavier in the face, turning my best to glare at him.

"Baby, you look so cute when you try and be angry at me. But I know you love me way too much to be angry. I just wanted to see you and to kiss you. You left this morning without saying goodbye, I haven't even had a kiss today." He ended up whining at the end.

"Well babe, you looked way to cute this morning to wake up. And I did kiss you before I left." I turned around again.

"Nah, not too soon baby, I need to have you." He said stopping my chair.

"I've got work Xavi, I'll see you in 4 hours." I said.

"Well, baby, can you give me a kiss? And can you get off in 2 hours, I've got you a present also known as a surprise for you." He said, nuzzling down my neck.

"I don't know Xavi, I need to ask." I said looking up to him.

"Well, you don't as I have already asked, and they have allowed it. So, come on, give me a kiss and I'll see you in an hour." He said getting closer. He leaned down and placed his soft lips upon mine. We slowly kissed each other. Xavier then pulled me up and sat me on the desk, he placed himself in between my legs, and the kiss got more intense. He moved his hands down to my waist and one moved to my arse, he squeezed gently making me moan. We then had a battle of our tongues, before we were interrupted.

"Sorry to disturb you, Dr. Charlwood, however we need you." A nurse came and interrupted us.

"Yes, sure, I'll be in my way." I said, moving off the desk.

"Baby, I'll let you go, but why do we always get disturbed." He groaned, but carried on. "I'll see you in 100 minutes, bye baby." He gave me another peck and left me to work.

*2 hours later*

"Goodbye, I'll see you next week. Bye." I waved to the team I worked with. I slowly walked out of the ward, next to exhausted. Those last 2 hours had been a handful, we've had three children arrive within the space of 10 minutes. I was now stationed in the children's wing.
