Katie's POV
I slowly started to regain consciousness everything was blurry. I let out a small groan seeing my helmet hand come off and was hovering in front of me along with some blood.
I quickly put my hands on my stomach and relaxed still feeling my bump there. I then reached up and touched my forehead and found my fingers red. Had I hit my head on something.
I tried to call someone but my voice wasn't there I gently took my helmet and put it back on hearing everyone's voice. I tried to call them again but it came out very quietly.
I took a deep breath and called them."guys."I said to surprise me only keith answered. "Pidge thank god your up how are you, how's the baby."he instantly question me.
"My head is bleeding and the baby is fine what happened?"I asked."you got hit very badly and got knocked out along with your lion so you think you can get it up and running again?" "I can try."I told him.
I started to moving my handles next to me but nothing happened."come on girl tell me what's wrong."I whisper before the screen in front of me lit up. I smiled and clicked a few things before she turned on again.
I griped the handles moving her to attack."shiro where are you she's up."I heard keith say through the comes. We both headed in the same direction to see the black lion glowing purple.
"Shiro!!!"I yelled tears clouding my eyes for a minute before I blinked them away. I bite my bottom lip and pushed my lion at full speed and knocked the black lion out of reach of zarcon.
It seemed as my lion growled at him as we stood between him and shiro."don't touch him."I growled at him like my lion did. Feeling something powerful come into me.
My lion and I booked it towards him avoiding everything he fired at us. I put my lions paw on him and got out holding my bard(I don't know how to spell it). "Go and keeping black out of this until be gets back."I told her and she flew off.
"Long time no see zarkon."I smirked at him my bard out along with my prosthetic arm glowing. I may be two months pregnant but I will not give up a fight. I ran at him at full speed yelling at the top of my lungs. I seemed to have cut his arm as he yelled out in pain.
"You'll pay for that paladen."he told me coming at me I quickly blocked him and kicked him away from me. I heard Shiro's voice trying to call me but it was quiet. I heard it again when zarkon and I were hitting each other.
"Katie what are you doing?! Get back into your lion!"he said to me heading towards us but my lion blocked his way of getting to us."katie please!"His tone of voice changed as if he was crying. Everything seemed to drain out of me and I blocked his next hit and jumped off of his ship and jetpacked to my lion my energy seemed to drain out of me fully.
I let out a sign and shiro seemed to know how I was feeling and pulled my lion back to the ship and came to get me out of my lion. He pulled my helmet off seeing the smeared blood on my forehead."oh katie why did you do this." "I wanted to protect you and this someone sort of power came over me and my arm glowed up as well."I told him while he picked me up walking out of my lion.
"Katie you didn't have to do that." He said but I cut him staring up at him. "Yes I did he would have you and black and I didn't want that.....we need you."I say referring to the baby in my stomach.
I saw his eyes soften after hearing that and cleaned my forehead off before kissing it."thank you kaite." I then smiled at him hugging him tightly as we headed to our room to lay down and sleep.
When I hit the pillow I always slept on I feel asleep quickly knowing shiro was there with me to keep me safe. To keep us safe. I placed my hand over my stomach before fullying falling asleep.
