Third Person's point of view.
Shuiro woke with a start the next morning. He had one of the worst nightmares could have ever had. Reliving the day she died. Her dying to protect him, him killing everyone involved and then sitting there holding her as she died, her life slipping through his fingers as he was powerless to save her to keep her from leaving him like everyone else in his family had. Getting up from his sleeping bag, he grabbed a clean set of clothing and went into the Mens' bathroom to wash up and change.
Coming out his things in his bag, he stood in front of the mirror and brushed his teeth and washed his face before smiling sadly at one of the other guys that was getting his ears talked off but an energetic girl in black and pink. Gliding past him and the girl, Shuiro went to his locker and punched in the 6-digit number and pulled out his weapons and strapped them to his hip and put his other things inside, he would only need his weapons today so he wanted to travel as light as possible.
Yang couldn't help but stare after Shuiro. He was gorgeous and strong and he gave off this sense of mystery that drew Yang to him, she wanted to figure him out and see what made him who he was, she could tell he was a little damaged, no one that beautifully strange grew up normal, and she didn't care she just wanted to know.

The initiates all stand in a line in front of the Headmaster and his second-in-command Glynda, waiting for instructions, "For years, you have trained to become warriors, and today, your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest." Ozpin explains, "Now, I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of "teams." Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion. Each of you will be given teammates... today." Glynda says and several students are excited to find out how.
"What? Ohhh..." Ruby said unhappily. "These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon. So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well." Ruby groaned to show her distaste, "That being said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years." Ozpin added Ruby shocked expression mirrors her world cracking like glass and falling apart, "Whaaaat?" Nora turned to Ren and grinned, "See? I told you-!"
"After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest. You will meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path... or you will die." Ozpin said scaring Jaune, but the others were fine, if not excited. "You will be monitored and graded through the duration of your initiation, but our instructors will not intervene. You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics. Each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff. We will reguard that item, as well as your standing, and grade you appropriately. Are there any questions?" Jaune raised his hand.
"Yeah, um, sir?" but he was ignored, "Good! Now, take your positions." Everyone waited for the springboards they stood on to launch them out into the forest. Shuiro didn't move from his straight-backed stance, he simply rolled his shoulders and neck, Nora crouches low, Ren wields his weapons, Yang raises her fists, Ruby readies her body, and Jaune is still raising his hand. "Uh, sir? I've got, um... a question." Jaune is still trying to get the headmaster's attention.
And he misses the tile under Weiss rising up into a springboard, rocketing into the air and over the forest, as the platforms activate down the line. "So, this landing... strategy thing... Uh, wha-what is it? You're, like, dropping us off or something?" Ozpin shook his head, "No. You will be falling." Jaune still missing more students being thrown asks, "Oh, uh, I see... So, like, did you hand out parachutes for us?" "No. You will be using your own 'landing strategy.'" Ozpin tells him finding it funny that this boy couldn't figure it out.
Jaune still not seeing an excited Nora and Ren getting launched, "Uh-huh... Yeah." At her turn, Yang winks at her younger sister, puts on a pair of aviators, and flies off with a "Woo-hoooooooo!" a second before Ruby joins her. "So, what exactly is a landing strateGYYY!..." Jaune had asked but didn't finish as it became a scream of fear as he was now sailing through the air with the others.
He asks this part just when he finally has to get hurled with the cloud of students now making their way down into the forest below under the eyes of the teachers. Ozpin, for his part, simply takes a sip of his drink.
