Chapter 6
~Faith~
The sunlight filtered through the little windows in the tent illuminating Faith's sleeping figure. Michael and Kevin had decided to let their Alpha sleep in after the events of yesterday but thought it best to wake her up since it was already six thirty, an hour after sunrise, and they had a training session scheduled for seven.
Kevin gingerly unzipped the tent and walked over to his peacefully sleeping Alpha. He watched her for a moment to take in her serenity. This was the only time she really seemed comfortable. Whenever she was awake there was always a slight crease in her brow as if she was constantly trying to solve a complex problem.
Sighing, he crouched down in front of her and softly brushed a stray hair behind her ear. Faith's eyes slowly fluttered open and saw Kevin crouching in front of her. Groaning, she flipped over and pulled the sleeping bag over her face. Kevin laughed and pulled the top cover off in one swift movement.
"Noooo..." Faith whined and covered her eyes with her arm.
"C'mon, everyone's been awake for at least an hour now!" Kevin smiled and held out a hand to help the woman up. Faith sighed, took his offered hand and was easily hoisted up.
"By 'everyone' I'm assuming you mean our pack, not Jace's?" Faith asked as she motioned for Kevin to turn so she could change. He did so with a smirk and a nod as an answer. As she ruffled through her duffle bag to find some suitable clothes for training, she decided on a tight white Under Armour tank top with black yoga pants. She changed quickly and put on her white running shoes to match. Before leaving she grabbed a big makeup bag that contained all of the necessities to begin the day.
Faith brushed past Kevin and out of the tent to go to the kitchen for some breakfast. Kevin of course followed his Alpha and informed her that Michael was waking up everyone for the 7 AM training course. She nodded to let him know she heard him and walked into the kitchen, almost running into Will.
"Morning," Will said grumpily. Faith smiled as she took in her brother's disheveled appearance. He was never a morning person, but being Jace's second in command, he had to attend most training sessions, including the morning ones.
"Hey! Still keep the apples in the fridge?" Faith asked as she continued into the kitchen towards the fridge. Will grumbled a quiet yes and walked away. Grabbing two apples, she tossed one over her shoulder at Kevin and closed the fridge door before quickly devouring her apple. Kevin raised an eyebrow but stayed silent as he took one bite his.
"I was hungry." Faith said with a shrug. "I'm gonna go do my lady things, I'll be right back."
On her way to the bathroom she saw Sophia walking down the hall.
"Morning Soph," The Alpha said as she quickly caught up with the small girl.
Sophia smiled, saying excitedly, "Good morning Miss Faith! Guess what!"
"What?" Faith returned her smile.
"Scott said I can come train with you! The rules usually say that we have to wait until we're at least fourteen, but he said since you're here, everyone ten to thirteen can train if they want!"
Faith's smile widened as she pat Sophia on the back. "Well, that sounds good to me! I'll see you at the training course in half an hour, okay?" The young girl nodded and the two split. Faith turned a corner and walked into the shared women's bathroom.
The bathrooms in pack houses were sort of like YMCA changing rooms where it was a giant room with multiple showers, stalls, and changing areas. There weren't any lockers though.
